This vacation home is the top half of a duplex. It is a very well cared for 4 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home located approximately 2 1/2 blocks from the green Pleasure Pier and downtown Avalon. Two of the bedrooms each have a queen bed, and the other two bedrooms each have a set of bunk beds and new carpet recently installed. If needed, the living room has a queen sofa sleeper. In addition to the full bath, there is also a half bath located beyond the kitchen. In addition to a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, this home offers a 40-inch flat panel UHD 4K Smart TV in the living room, wireless internet and washer/dryer. The location was perfect and everything was within walking distance for us. It was very close to the grocery store and restaurants. They had fans for each bedroom and that really helped as it was very warm when we were there.
The only complaint was the bathtub drain was very slow and in the half bathroom the window pain was broken so it was always open. It was nice there was a screen but it lacked a little privacy.
I would rent this again, the convenience out weighs the few little complaints. There was a table that sat 8 people as well and that was great for coffee in the morning and conversation and drinks later.
This was awesome great place to stay for a couple of days! Great location and amenities included like towels, dishes, etc. The curtains were ripped and old and front door lock was tricky, but otherwise we had a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.
Very close to the Main Street in walkable distance. Restaurant, super market. Indeed a decent place to stay for the weekend.
Although one bath, but it has two toilets so no waiting for 8 people.
It also has a wash machine and cloth dry hanger at the back so large tarp can aslo dry at night.
The house was spacious and clean with good sized bedrooms and bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Close to downtown area. The street was quiet but we got unlucky with the downstairs tennants. A group of young people were partying very loudly about nights we were there. Overall we had a great experience in Catalina.
The check-in process was very simple and the location was great. The only minor complaint was that some of our party found the mattresses on the bunk beds too hard. Other than that, the place was clean and well equipped.
Great central location, easy walk from boat, check-in office just one block away, you pass it on your way there. Pretty old house, cool vibe. Upgraded electrical so lots of outlets and good WiFi. Plumbing also upgraded, so modern fixtures and worked well. Very well stocked kitchen. Because of age some of the window cranks were broken and drapes in one bedroom were sun-rotted, but didn’t bother us. The house is divided into two units, one lower level and one upper level. Stairs to upper level are steep. If you have trouble with stairs you’ll want the lower level. I would definitely stay here again.

Amenities should be improved
Front door lock does not work. Need to use entry from kitchen. Half bath is having too small wash basin that is not useful at all. Few Utensils were found half clean when we entered and need to wash them again
Ideally we expected that the house will be provided with all amenities and in good condition. The Heater system is so old, it only works in one place, so all other rooms are very cold. only two room heaters are provided for 4 bedrooms. not enough cookware/serving spoons/bakeware are provided. hand soaps were not provided, no laundry detergent.

Great location!
Home was 2.5 blocks from the main strip of activity. Small town and thing close early so a great getaway from busy life.
Our stay at the property for four evenings was comfortable enough, but we were unable to use the front bedroom with bunk beds because of a broken window that still had sharp shards remaining in the window frame. Shredding drapes need to also be replaced in the front bedroom and the main bathroom.
The location is great as it is central to Avalon and close to Vons market and the green pier.We would consider staying here again if Iwe were assured that the property was improved with new drapes, screens on all the windows and the broken
window repaired.
Location, location, location! Close to everything. Breezes cooled it down so no Ac was needed (doesn’t have any). Neighborhood is a mixture of rentals and perm residents, so there wasn’t loud parties going on. Place was charming, a little small, but everything is from this time period.
We had eight adults staying at the apartment and it was roomy and had all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the bright large eating area. It was close to the grocery store and to the town on a quiet street.
