"Interacted with a couple staff and the women were courteous, while the male front desk staff were rude. Room needs some upkeep. Lighting in the room was dim. Shower floor had cracks and paint peeling. Plenty of parking. It would have been nice to have had security onsite."

"Review: Safety Hazards and Unacceptable Conditions at Vista Inn ​I am writing this to warn others and formally document the serious safety and maintenance issues at this property. My current stay has been deeply unsettling, and the environment is simply not habitable. ​Major Safety and Security Issues ​The most concerning aspect of this stay is the lack of security. Immediately after checking in, I was followed through the parking lot by individuals who appeared to be under the influence. They approached me with inappropriate questions and followed me toward my room. As a result, I do not feel safe leaving my room to retrieve belongings from my vehicle. This is an unacceptable environment for any guest. ​Substandard Room Conditions ​The physical state of the room fails to meet even basic hospitality or safety codes: ​Fire Safety: There is a burnt-out ceiling light directly next to a wired, empty spot where a smoke detector is missing. ​Hygiene & Quality: The bed blanket is littered with visible burn holes. The bathroom fixtures are so badly degraded and grimey that I am uncomfortable using the shower without footwear. ​Non-Functional Amenities: The television does not work at all. ​Excessive Noise: Due to poor window insulation and the proximity to the highway, the noise level inside the room is constant and disruptive. ​Resolution Requested ​Because this establishment fails to provide a secure environment or a room that meets basic safety standards, I have requested a refund"

"The room was a little crusty and rickety, the pool was nice but small & the staff was mostly kind. "

"Best Vrbo experience we’ve had yet. Dylan provided impeccable customer service. I’ve never experienced a host so attentive. The house was clean, fully stocked and incredibly spacious. Highly recommend. "

"Cleaning staff did great a job. Rooms are ok, but the bathroom door is so strange. Built like an entry door and hard to open. Makes using the bathroom at night a noisy endeavor. A/C units are built into the wall. Strange for a modern building. Should have central air. Does ok but doesn’t keep up at times. They have a laundry room but no detergent and no change (quarters). Why even have a laundry room? Some staff could be friendlier but shot out to a front desk person. I didn’t catch her name but, she made us feel welcomed. (Shorter young person). Other front desk staff was great too but just one male that stood out like he didn’t went to be there. They have a bistro, but ends at 9:30am and nothing is free. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at has always had free coffee. I will probably try to the hotel next door before I book here. It’s not terrible but they need to step their game up. "

"Fantastic property with all sorts of extra amenities, from the chocolate chip banana bread to the excellent coffee and every utensil you could think of! Beach, chairs, umbrella, towels, books, movies, games, best place I have ever rented! Hummingbirds every morning to greet you and a beautiful patio to sit down on."

"This home is big and can host many people. It has great potential to be a great home. Unfortunately our stay was not that great. The home was not clean, had dead spidees on the walls and floor. Paint peeling off the walls and doors. The primay bathroom had a smell. The outdoor furniture was extremely dirty amd worn. I paid extra to have the pool heated and it was never heated. Had to contact the host multiple times. The outside grill was nasty and raggedy. Very disappointed. I sent pictures to the host in hopes they would make changes to make this home great.The host did not want to refund the money for heated pool initially; only wanted to give me a gift card. After pushback I was refunded that portion of the trip.Lastly, the host sent me a message today to give a 10/10 and I will receive a giftcard. I took the approach to not give a review and speak directly with the host but now I feel compelled due to the recent outreach that they will rate me 10/10 as a guest and give a gift card if I rate the stay 10/10. Bad business! Hopefully they took my private suggestions to heart and cleaned up the home."

"Our recent stay had a bit of a hic-up at no fault of the host. When we arrived the refrigerator was not working. We contacted the host and he quickly got service technicians onsite. We ended up not having a functioning fridge for two of our three days. Host was nice enough to credit us one night of our stay. Home is clean but bathrooms are a bit dated. Kitchen and downstairs living space are very nice. Neighborhood is a bit on the lower scale, but downtown Vista is amazing. "
