The Coachhouse by the River Clyde

"When we walked into the front door we fell in love with the house. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are two living rooms with big couches and TVs. The master suite is huge with an ensuite bathroom. A couple of the bedrooms are more suitable for kids, but there are queen sized beds in other rooms for couples. There is plenty of room for a party of 10. If you plan to cook, you will be very pleased with the kitchen. Unlike most vacation rentals there is a big selection of pots and pans, casseroles dishes, plates, bowls, serving bowls and plenty of flatware. There is a stock of spices, salt and pepper, chips, and condiments in the fridge that you can make use of. The view from the kitchen window and the deck is beautiful. Skelmorlie itself is a quiet village with an 18 hole golf course, churches, and a small shop for essentials. There is a large Tesco in Greenock 20 to 30 minutes away. One last thing that makes the Coach House wonderful is that Marc the host, owns the house, is local, can be reached using WhatsApp, and is very responsive. Thank you Marc for a wonderful stay."

"The View!! Love this place! Driveway is a little narrow- but private and gorgeous! We traveled a lot with the convenience of the Wemyss Bay train station and ferry. We traveled during July and there is no air-conditioner, got a little hot during the day. Would have loved some screens for windows and patio doors- and a fan would have been awesome. However we enjoyed staying here very much!"

"Absolutely stunning cottage set in the most beautiful location right on the sea. Property is finished to the highest quality and standard and has everything you could need when staying in a rental. Alan and Ann were wonderful hosts providing lots of local information. The cottage is in a great location with lots of places to visit within a short drive. The outlook from the windows is beautiful- lots of local wildlife can be seen. Very pet friendly. Would highly recommend."
