"Staff were amazing. Very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Organised pickup / drop-off at the airport and escorted us to our activity pick-up points (even at 04:30 in the morning), etc. Always willing to chat and give advice on things to do, and what not to do. Breakfast was good and included in the price too. Didn’t use the spa (only because we didn’t have time) but was shown the facilities on arrival and it looked fine. If I had to criticise anything, it would be that the Riad is a little difficult to find but Google Maps gets it right every time so in this day and age it’s not really a problem. Pretty much everything we did was less than a 20 minute walk away so its location is really convenient, especially for the main square and souks. I would certainly stay here again, without question."

"A beautiful riad with distinctive character in every room and public area. Meticulously decorated by the hosts with excellent updates to the property (to the extent that Moroccan construction complications makes possible). The riad is conveniently located in the Medinah (but not too far from one of the entry gates) such that tourist sites are easily accessed while keeping the noise of the Medinah away from the riad. Excellent and affordable dining nearby. As for most of the Medinah, while safe for tourists comings and goings feel somewhat sketchy and avoiding 'helpful' locals is difficult. The Medinah aesthetics can be gritty and a single woman might feel somewhat at risk (though probably not really). Riad Houdou is a terrific oasis from the hustle-bustle to return to and the staff are fully-committed to making a visit a pleasure!"

"Riad Dar Serenity is a true oasis amid the vibrant chaos of the medina. I was genuinely struck by how tranquil and serene the atmosphere became the moment I stepped through the doors. The riad boasts a traditional, rustic aesthetic, and the rooms are cozy, immaculately clean, and full of charm. The hosts went above and beyond—incredibly helpful, warm, and welcoming from start to finish. They even provided a detailed map highlighting all the attractions within walking distance, which made exploring the city so much easier. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and wonderfully healthy, offering the perfect start to each day. On two occasions when I set off hiking in the Atlas Mountains, the manager kindly prepared breakfast for me to take along—a thoughtful touch that truly made a difference. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Riad Dar Serenity to anyone seeking peace and quiet at the end of a busy day."

"Our stay at Riad Azrur was amazing. After problems with the first Riad we initially booked, and them letting us know on arrival that they could only accommodate us for 2 of our booked 7 nights, we had to be relocated (after many issues with Expedia not wanting to do so until just a few hours before checkout). We were moved to Riad Azrur and on arrival we were greeted on the street by Ibrahim, he was lovely and very helpful, he was always happy to assist and offering to support us with any and everything. He gave me an app to navigate the Medina, he checked in with us all hours of the day, we spoke we laughed and we were treated so well we could not fault anything at all. Everything that we did not get from Expedia and the first Riad, Ibrahim truly made up for it all. We thankfully got there on my birthday and he gave balloons to help decorate the room. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the housekeeper Fetiha was so lovely, she always greeted us with a smile and was understanding of my poor French. We had an issue with our fridge and it was sent off to be rectified immediately. Having a key was a privilege after not having one in the first Riad. Honestly we felt so welcome, like family, it was so comforting. Our stay as a whole was amazing and we would 1000% stay at Riad Azrur again."
