"Staff were amazing. Very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Organised pickup / drop-off at the airport and escorted us to our activity pick-up points (even at 04:30 in the morning), etc. Always willing to chat and give advice on things to do, and what not to do. Breakfast was good and included in the price too. Didn’t use the spa (only because we didn’t have time) but was shown the facilities on arrival and it looked fine. If I had to criticise anything, it would be that the Riad is a little difficult to find but Google Maps gets it right every time so in this day and age it’s not really a problem. Pretty much everything we did was less than a 20 minute walk away so its location is really convenient, especially for the main square and souks. I would certainly stay here again, without question."

"A beautiful riad with distinctive character in every room and public area. Meticulously decorated by the hosts with excellent updates to the property (to the extent that Moroccan construction complications makes possible). The riad is conveniently located in the Medinah (but not too far from one of the entry gates) such that tourist sites are easily accessed while keeping the noise of the Medinah away from the riad. Excellent and affordable dining nearby. As for most of the Medinah, while safe for tourists comings and goings feel somewhat sketchy and avoiding 'helpful' locals is difficult. The Medinah aesthetics can be gritty and a single woman might feel somewhat at risk (though probably not really). Riad Houdou is a terrific oasis from the hustle-bustle to return to and the staff are fully-committed to making a visit a pleasure!"

"Riad Dar Serenity is a true oasis amid the vibrant chaos of the medina. I was genuinely struck by how tranquil and serene the atmosphere became the moment I stepped through the doors. The riad boasts a traditional, rustic aesthetic, and the rooms are cozy, immaculately clean, and full of charm. The hosts went above and beyond—incredibly helpful, warm, and welcoming from start to finish. They even provided a detailed map highlighting all the attractions within walking distance, which made exploring the city so much easier. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and wonderfully healthy, offering the perfect start to each day. On two occasions when I set off hiking in the Atlas Mountains, the manager kindly prepared breakfast for me to take along—a thoughtful touch that truly made a difference. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Riad Dar Serenity to anyone seeking peace and quiet at the end of a busy day."
