Stunning Dordogne riverside villa with heated salt pool, 10min walk to Tremolat

"The location is wonderful and so peaceful. The pool is amazing and the salt water treatment makes is very pleasant to be in. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you need to self cater for a few weeks. There are a few nice places to eat and drink in the village and which are a pleasant 15 minute stroll away. The river access is a real bonus and a great place to spend some real wind down time."
Gite with pool & fab gardens 5 mins from quaint village with restaurants & shop

"Lovely gite in a very quiet area. The gite was very clean on arrival and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Lots of storage in the bedrooms and it was great having 2 bathrooms. As we stayed for 2 weeks we were provided with fresh linen and towels for the second week, which was really appreciated. The pool was excellent and very refreshing, especially as we stayed during a heatwave and the temperature was topping 38oC. We couldn't keep our boys out of the pool! The gite is very short walk (less than 5 minutes) away from the local shop and restaurants. We were lucky enough to attend a night market in the square, which is a great experience. A car is a must in order to visit the other nearby villages and towns.Unfortunately, because of the heatwave, the gite was very hot and uncomfortable at times. Fans were provided, which did give us some relief, but it is something to be aware of if staying in the summer months, especially with ongoing climate change. Also, the mosquitoes are an absolute nuisance. The gite owners have been really proactive by installing nets on all the windows, but when you go out you can get bitten even with deet on!Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the gite. Just wish it had been a little bit cooler!"

"A lovely family-run hotel that has a warm and joyful vibe. The owners, their little girl serving tables on a busy night, absolutely everyone made me feel welcomed and cared for. As a vegetarian, the very kind owners prepared dishes suitable to my diet. The swimming pool was clean, refreshing and set in a serene setting. Even the guests were friendly and courteous. I recommend this hotel highly and will be returning every chance I get. A staff member even loaned me her special glasses to view the solar eclipse last night. I had a wonderful time in this lovely corner of the country."

"Notre séjour avec enfants et petits-enfants -nous étions 19- fut excellent : beauté des lieux, variété des activités permettant à la fois d'être tous ensemble ou de se retrouver qui à la piscine, qui au ping-pong, qui à la pétanque... Aucun souci de confort.Ce beau domaine des Falaises en pleine nature nous a aussi permis de découvrir les beaux sites environnants. L'accueil était plein de promesses et elles ont été tenues !"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Bernard's place in St. Chamassy The environs were tranquil and beautiful and the salt water pool wonderful for a swim at the end of a hot day. The kitchen is modern, simple but well equipped, with a dishwasher but no oven."

"Our stay was excellent. Alexander met us when we drove in and showed us around the property. Our room was roomy and nicely furnished. The bathroom was large. Eveything looked quite new. The breakfast was out of this world. For us the location was excellent for our visit to the National Museum of Prehistory."
