"Wow - what a fantastic place! Noel and Evelyne were excellent hosts, really friendly and kind. We stayed in La Borie which was absolutely amazing. The room itself is simple but perfectly comfortable and thoughtfully designed, however it is it's location that is wonderful. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance which was great, and for breakfast Noel brought this to us on our terrace which was a delicious breakfast of local and homemade delights. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay, we would love to return again in future."

"Wir hatten insgesamt eine schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft. Das Haus ist ein sehr schönes, klassisches Steinhaus im Périgord und hat dadurch einen ganz besonderen Charme. Unsere Golden Retriever Hündin hatte ausreichend auslauf im Garten. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell in Le Bugue, außerdem liegt die Unterkunft fußläufig zu einer Kanu-Anlegestelle. Besonders positiv fanden wir die Flexibilität: Wir konnten unseren Aufenthalt spontan um einen Tag verlängern.Wir wurden freundlich von der Mutter der Gastgeberin empfangen. Grundlegende Französischkenntnisse sind allerdings hilfreich, da die Gastgeberin selbst nicht vor Ort war und die Kommunikation überwiegend online lief.Ein paar Punkte sollte man vor der Buchung wissen: Das Haus ist wirklich sehr alt und entsprechend etwas abgewohnt. Die Betten waren dennoch gemütlich. Für große Personen sind einige Bereiche allerdings sehr beengt – insbesondere Bad und Dusche sowie die Toilette. Außerdem hatten wir während unseres Aufenthalts ein sehr starkes Mückenproblem. Hier sollte man sich unbedingt gut vorbereiten. Wir haben zwei Moskitonetze für die Betten dagelassen. Eine Investition in fest angebrachte Moskitonetze für Fenster und Türen wäre aus unserer Sicht eine sinnvolle Verbesserung."

Tout est là pour passer de très très bonnes vacances: le grand jardin au calme, la belle piscine, la maison très bien équipée…."

"An entirely enjoyable experience. Communication; cordial, precise and timely, directions and instructions easy to follow and the accommodation is delightful. Travelling from England, hired a car and did not take enough mosquito spray! It was August though, in the countryside, silly me. Brought our own towels, but understand they are available to hire also. Lidl, Aldi, HyperMarche, all close by, but far enough to enjoy the quiet isolation of Lou Cecadou with a ridiculously cheap bottle of decent wine, or 4. TV (not smart) & DVD player, Dishwasher and Washing Machine provided, hot water always available and the kitchen and its equipment are largely more than we have at home. Filter coffee machine, food blender, microwave and all manner of convenient pots and pans. The private pool is perfectly positioned. Highly recommend canoe hire in nearby Le Bugue, a small, friendly town which hosts an amazing weekly day market on Tuesdays and then a quite unique community spirited gathering in the evening on the banks of Vezere River, eating together, enjoying live music…. Do NOT ignore the advice to take your own plate and fork! Valerie & Jean-Philippe have crafted the ideal getaway in an idyllic location, are wonderful hosts and we hope to return."

"A lovely family-run hotel that has a warm and joyful vibe. The owners, their little girl serving tables on a busy night, absolutely everyone made me feel welcomed and cared for. As a vegetarian, the very kind owners prepared dishes suitable to my diet. The swimming pool was clean, refreshing and set in a serene setting. Even the guests were friendly and courteous. I recommend this hotel highly and will be returning every chance I get. A staff member even loaned me her special glasses to view the solar eclipse last night. I had a wonderful time in this lovely corner of the country."
