"We are visiting from Australia and this place is absolutely awesome! Amazing location yet within walking distance to pubs / restaurants and town centre. Incredibly quiet being in a country setting and lots of opportunities for walks by the river. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we were able to have breakfast outside in the lovely garden. We felt well looked after. Highly recommend!"

"The restaurant and garden are nice and the service was good. Good selection on the menu, including vegetarian and vegan. The food was very good. Unfortunately the accommodation is extremely tired and is in desperate need of updating / painting. I have been generous with 3 stars as we ate in the restaurant both in the evening and morning. If you are looking for a place to eat which is dog friendly this is perfect."

"A real pub with good atmosphere, warm and welcoming. Good restaurant with decent menu. Rooms a little small but good facilities."

"We weren’t overly excited by our stay at the cherry tree. The bar had already stopped serving food when we arrived. It wasn’t that late and we had to resort to shopping at the local co-op for something to eat. Despite paying £30 for the dog to stay with us overnight there was nothing given in return. We had to ask for toiletries which hadn’t been provided. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good and the lady who served it was very helpful although it wasn’t anva until after 10 am. "
