Pier Cottage in beautiful Kinlochbervie, in the unspoiled North West Sutherland
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Pier Cottage - very comfortable and very clean. The hosts Mairi and Willie are extremely welcoming and friendly. We had fresh fish caught by Willie - langoustines, crab, lobster and monkfish - all delicious and a highlight of our trip. There is lots to do in and around Kinlochbervie and just opposite the cottage is a very well stocked Spar shop. We highly recommend a stay at Pier Cottage."
"House was nice and clean, stocked with some of the basics you like to find (salt& pepper, washing liquids etc). The hosts made contact and offered to light the fire for our arrival which we were grateful for having got rather wet in the morning. We were also able to do a load of laundry before continuing our road trip. The local was a bit of a hidden gem being in between the Lochs, the access by harbour was great and our boys really enjoyed having the place to themselves for a while. It was a very welcome stop"
"this is a comfortable and well equipped cottage in a private settlement. The owners are selling and it will be under new management soon. The internet access was unusually poor but I understand is not normally strong. it is an idylllic and historic location with a small harbour, although the view is from the house is a little limited by the main building. There are all necessary amentities except a church within a few miles and the local beaches are astonishingly beautiful. We swam."

6/10 Okay
"The location of the house is great and the view of the bay is simply magical, especially in the sunshine. However, the cleanliness left something to be desired. In addition, some repairs were needed. There were windows that should not be opened. In the upstairs bedroom (the one with the shower), there was no hot water during the entire stay. At the end of the stay, the window in this bedroom no longer closed properly. "
"Stunning views,Lots of walking around, a shop with friendly people,a helpful neighbor,a cozy cottage,we needed nothing else ,we find the quietness we needed …"
