  • Five star, gold rated. Sleeps 2-4 adults. Can be combined with Chestnut Cottage to sleep 6 via Internal door to directly connect with Cobnut. Ideal for larger families.Awarded a ROSE award by Visit England 2022.

    Solid Elm floorboards downstairs, solid Oak floorboards upstairs with rugs throughout. Spacious living room with open plan dining area and large refectory dining table in solid Elm with stunning views. Downstairs toilet and washer-dryer. Enclosed verandah.

    Cobnut, with its accommodation over two floors and with two separate en-suite bedrooms, is a favourite with families and friends. This cottage boasts stunning views across the valley and into the courtyard.

    A spacious entrance veranda leads into the living room area with a beautiful solid elm floor, quality sofa and armchairs and open fire place. To the right through a beautiful elm door is a small cloakroom with airing room, washing machine and downstairs toilet. The dining area with wonderful views across the fields and valley, has a large refectory table in solid elm which can seat up to 8 people. Adjacent to the dining area is the oak framed kitchen which has a granite work top and stainless steel fittings with all modern equipment.

    A beautiful solid ash open tread staircase with oak paneling to the side leads to the 2 en-suite bedrooms. The front room overlooking the courtyard has an exquisite shower room with exposed stone wall, Venetian marble tiling and oak paneling with an electronic power shower.The rear bedroom looks out across the pond and valley beyond and the en-suite bathroom accessed through frosted glass paneled doors features Venetian marble tiling and a deep oak panelled bath.

    Both bedrooms have solid oak floors, ample storage and handmade hardwood beds which can be arranged either as 2 single beds or zip linked together to make super king-size doubles. Top quality firm mattresses and beautiful Egyptian cotton linen make for very comfortable nights.

    Superior crafted, natural luxury together with our exacting standards and attention to detail ensure that Cobnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience. Excellent 4 day break in a lovely cobnut cottage in a lovely setting very good for visiting all the places nearby unfortunately Blenheim palace was closed only in a very nice part off the Cotswold for a stay cottage was immaculate with beautiful furniture and fixings would recommend it as a place to stay

This was our six stay at Heath Farm. Each stay at a Heath Farm cottage was excellent. Cobnut was spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of walking paths some easy and moderate others challenging. Heath Farm is a central location with easy access to shopping in Banbury and local villages.

A haven of peace and a fine base for exploring the area.

Lovely location. Very comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Quiet and peaceful. I appreciated being able to use electric charging point on-site: most convenient. The whole set-up at this site with five cottages was impressive and obviously carefully thought-through. Lovely grounds to wander in around the property. Plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. Strongly recommended.

Peaceful getaway

This was our fourth visit to Heath farm. It is a little gem for those wanting some peace and to recharge from city life. It is the epitome of calmness and serenity. Cleverly placed windows from each cottage allow a guest amazing views around the farm, privacy and a sense of connection with nature. The orchard, chicken and play room are our favourite things to do with our four year son.

Relaxing Cotswold stay

Cobnut cottage is located in the grounds of Heath Farm in a picturesque landscaped garden with trickling waterfall and plenty of seating areas available .Pleasant woodland walks available from the doorstep too.The interior is extremely well appointed,Excellent quality furnishings ,lovely wood fire and logs (freely available) and spotlessly clean.Self catering is made easy as plenty of quality crockery,glassware,and cookware.The owners are very friendly and professional and always pleasant and easy to chat with.The website is easy to follow and walk through video is available for the cottage to give you a perfect tour before accessing the simple and easy to use booking system .

Bliss in the Cotswolds

This was our sixth visit to Heath Farm - honestly, we'd live there, if they'd have us! The property is so comfortable, accommodating, beautiful, warm, and welcoming. Unbelievably, this was the first time I viewed their Games Room: spectacular! Especially if you have rainy days, bored kids, time on your hands. On this visit we stayed 10 days and could have spent a month. There is so much to see and do in the area and the location at Heath Farm is ideal for touring. We had two excellent and celebratory dinners at The Boxing Hare, which is just a few yards down the road. We ordered three loaves of bread from Mark's Cotswold Bakery which is right on the premises. I am actually reluctant to post this positive review because I don't want EVERYONE to discover our magical place in the Cotswolds. The Barbours are exemplary land stewards and it is a privilege to stay at their farm, and in a small way, contribute to what they add to Oxfordshire.

30 years and still the best !

Our first visit was over 30 years ago. Since that time we’ve made several return visits. The rich solid woods and ceramics, throughout the cottages, bring a sense of real quality to what can only be described as one the Cotswolds most tranquil settings. Cobnut in a particular favourite. To the rear of its elevated setting, there is a wide and uninterrupted view down to the lake and the open Oxfordshire countryside beyond. To the front lies the courtyard with it’s Mediterranean influences. Constantly running waterfalls create a gentle atmosphere when sitting, restfully, on a warm summer evening. For those who love being surrounded by solid wood features, the inside of the cottages will be a joy. Oak and Ash are crafted in each and every room. Nothing has been spared when it comes to ensuring that guests have everything they need to make their stay a comfortable and memorable one. Heath Farms expansive acreage offers numerous evening walks amongst woodland, meadows and wildlife. Their website internal photographs are a true reflection of what you will find on walking through the door. Long may the qualities of Heath Farm continue.

Amazing stay

Absolutely perfect stay, the cottage and service on top level. My only advise to the owner is to provide local produce for the kitchen, this can be added to the cost, but it is always very pleasant to have local eggs, bread, butter, bacon and rapeseed oil ready for your breakfast in the fridge.

Lovely accommodation beautifully fitted out

We have stayed a number of times in Cobnut and have thoroughly enjoyed our holidays there. The setting is great with amenities from hot tub to badminton and other sports available. The surrounding area is also lovely as are some of the pubs and cafes two being in Great Tew only 3 miles from the farm.

Heaven on Earth

We were 2 couples that enjoyed separate en-suite bedrooms and cannot recommend highly enough this place!!! The setting, the surrounding landscapes, the level of cleanliness and facilities, the unbelievable attention to details, the owners’ impeccable service, it was really Heaven on Earth!!! Heath Farm Cottages are very quaint and beautiful. In the Cotswald countryside! Very lovely property. The finishes and details of the cottages are outstanding!

A beautifully presented cottage.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying in Cobnut. Impressed by the attention to detail, from the decor to the well stocked kitchen and the generous supply of logs for the fire. The Aslan doors are a wonderful feature in the entrance hall. Felt very welcomed and valued as a guest by the hosts and would highly recommend.

Highly Recommended!

This charming cottage was everything we hoped for and more--beautiful, roomy, and welcoming. We loved strolling through as much of the 70 acres of paths and gardens as we could. There is even a pond where you can feed the fish. A fire in the fireplace on chilly nights was a lovely end to a day in the Cotswolds. Perfection!

Great stay

We had an amazing stay at this property the pictures do not do it justice. The location was great and the grounds surrounding the property are so beautiful. I was relaxed in no time. We rented two cottages as we had 6 adults in our group. The kitchens were well equipped for cooking. We all enjoyed the cake on arrival and a great touch to have milk and tea bags on our arrival. We were visiting from America but would definitely return to this property again.
