We were in town for our son's App State graduation and picked this house because of it's easy entry. We had a great stay, the house was very clean, and we loved seeing all the deer in the neighborhood. The host is very responsive and we would absolutely stay again!
We were only there one night but Kelly was so nice and helpful. The home was beautiful, clean, and the beds were so comfy. We can’t wait to stay again in the future.
Perfect house for my crew in a quiet neighborhood. Love that they are pet friendly and kind. Wood burning fireplace was awesome with plenty of wood cut up for our use. We had a great time!!
Okay, so it’s a bit of a drive to get to, and it’s not free of neighbors but the place…Wow! Clean. Cozy. Spacious and equipped. Great views to the back and we must have seen 20 deer during our stay. Big fireplace, lots of seating and very comfy. We will be back in the future!
This home was in the perfect location and offered a great layout for our family needs. We met our son and his family to attend Land of Oz and Tweetsie. Everything we needed was available, from a crib to the grill on the back deck! The area around the home had great walking trails so we were able to enjoy the outdoors as well. Many, many deer!!
The host Kelly was great, prior to check in, during our stay and after we left. The property was great for our adult children, grandchildren (2&3) and pups! Located close by the slopes, great kitchen for cooking and entertaining , awesome fireplace with plenty of firewood. Already talking about booking next year! We even had snow on our first day. 5+stars
The property is in a great location for getting back to nature. Wonderful trails and great scenery. Lots of wildlife. Upstairs bathroom could use a new shower curtain liner. Guest bathroom downstairs had black mould on shower head. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Bright, clean home. Well stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood.
There's a very nice, peaceful path at the end of Doe that's through undeveloped woods.
Loved the stay.
Only 2 steps to the main floor with one bedroom on that floor which was good for my elderly mother. Not easy to find in the mountains!
Very responsive and pleasant owner.
This home was perfect for our daughter, her husband and three young children and my husband and me. Plenty of room, very clean, comfortable beds, nice dining area, etc. Kelly was instantly responsive and very helpful. Best of all, we appreciate being able to include our three Golden Retrievers on our trip. That made all the difference. We made day trips to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, the Moses Cone House and Blowing Rock, all of which were within an easy drive. I highly recommend this place!
This place was great for anyone who has trouble on stairs. There is maybe one stair to get from the parking area inside the house. There is also a main bedroom on the first floor. This allowed our family to include my mom and stepdad who can't do stairs very well.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was enough space and bedding for everyone to sleep comfortable. It was very clean and well kept. Would definitely book again.
We stayed at this great house last weekend with our grown children. It was a great set up and the house has everything you need, and its about a 5 minute drive to the slopes. Would highly recommend!
We had the best time for our weekend getaway with friends and family! Everything you could possibly need was in the cabin ready to use. We had two families with young children and everyone was comfortable and had a great trip! We definitely plan on returning!
We simply loved the house. Kelly was super helpful and willing to accommodate our needs. The area was so beautiful had an amazing hiking trail right behind the house.
We enjoyed our stay here. My only advice would be to change the carpets, there’s a moldy musky odor, specially in the basement. Other than that no complaints.
We had a wonderful time staying here. Our 3 labs loved it too. Steps away from the house is a beautiful trail. I did every morning with the dogs! Beds were really comfy. Great house and deck. Thank you Kelly! Great host.
Coming from Florida we were hoping to see snow. And the weather on Saturday did not disappoint!!
This property is everything it shows in the VRBO listing. And we could not have enjoyed ourselves more!! As a bonus i was greeted by 2 beautiful deer in the front yard on Monday morning. They even stayed while I went to get my cell phone to take pics!!
Thank you Kelly for a great stay!!

We are from Central FL and saw the chance for our kids to see snow for the first time on the horizon. Family of 6 with our charcoal lab. We booked with Kelly Wednesday night for a long weekend. Friday-Monday. The house was AMAZING, very clean, and had a great layout. Communication was great with Kelly, check in and out was not a long process like other places we have stayed. She even let us add a day to our stay that’s how amazing this place is! Charcoal Lab love it here and this place being pet friendly I would give 6 starts if it would let me. From sitting on the back deck to sitting by the fireplace it’s very relaxing. We are normally a island, beach, and boat family. After our stay here we are adding the mountains to our lifestyle. We will definitely lt be back to stay at Kelly’s place.
