As a solo female traveler, I found this hotel very clean and quiet, with friendly staff. Great location between the Eixample and Gracia neighborhoods. I would stay here again, especially as it's one of the more affordable hotels near Gracia. Was able to walk everywhere I desired. Nice fitness room as well! Thanks for the great stay!

This is by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. We felt extremely safe while staying at Hotel Balmoral. The staff were phenomenal and extremely professional. They have a positive work environment and treated all guests and themselves with the utmost respect. Whenever we come back to Barcelona, this is the ONLY place I would consider staying at!

good location, short walk to Metro and bus stops, shopping ( on Gracia st.), surrounded by many restaurants. Staff not welcoming and friendly. Hotel does have a good breakfast and variety of items but they do not get refilled.

I originally was put in a room near where housekeeping congregated so it was noisy. As soon as I brought it to reception's attention I was upgraded to a much nicer, larger quiet room. The room was well appointed. I had an excellent massage at the hotel. My only complaint about the hotel is that I found the breakfast buffet to be just fair

Amazing breakfast, great hotel
Breakfast alone is worth staying here. Location is pretty good and a short walk to a lot of interesting places/restaurants/shops. Staff is very kind and attentive. Two elevators. Rooms are quiet and cozy. Rooms are small, but this is a European city and the price here is fair.

Overall, it was good! Excellent location. Sound proofing was not great able to hear outside noise from the street and sometimes from the other rooms. Good choices for breakfast, staff always eager to help.

Lovely hotel
Very comfortable and clean hotel in Barcelona city center. Located within walking distance of Casa Batlló and casa Mila. I booked two nights, different rooms, at the begging and at the end of Christmas. The hotel is quite and the staff are helpful and friendly. Vanessa from the restaurant / bar is really nice and makes you feel very welcome. I was upgraded to a doble room, on my second booking, because they didn’t have single rooms available. I used the gym a couple of times, it’s small but good enough to do your routine workouts. It has a couple of bicycles, treadmill, cross trainer, training bench, a couple of machines (chest and back) and free weights up to 10 kg. I also used the dry and wet sauna on the top floor, there is also a beautiful terrace and can be used free of charge. You can purchase flip flops, for the Spa area at the reception for just 2 euros. The hotel displays small touches that make the difference. For example, there are some juices, cookies and marshmallows in the lobby and small croissants on the bar counter for the guests. Apples and a water dispenser in the gym. Complementary bottle of water in the room. Newspapers and a couple of computers at the entrance. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very confortable with quality linen and the bathroom has bathtub, shower and bidet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is either on business (good wifi) or for pleasure (location). I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Outstanding service from all staff is one of the best we've ever experienced, having travelled all over the world. Hotel is located at the intersection of Diagonalle and La Rumbla, the good end, so it's hard to beat. Many thanks again for a great stay. P. S. One big problem is casual Spanish/Catalan relationship with time, leading to a blaze advice about time to get to the airport, which needs to be 'as early as possible' , otherwise you end up nearly missing a plane, and one of 7000 daily commuters whose baggage gets lost in a mess that is Spanish air transport. We were one of the few lucky ones to get our bags two days later in Seville. Phew...

The staff was very friendly and graciously allowed me and my travel mates to store luggage until check in. The room was a good size, and the bathroom was quite large and well-appointed. (For example, the hair dryer was good quality.) The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The rate (on a Sunday night) was quite reasonable for the quality and service. The shower wall was not long enough so that I got water all over the floor and had to use two towels to clean it up. The bathroom door is spring-loaded, so I had to prop it to ventilate the bathroom after my shower. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff could not be more attentive and helpful! They will go out of their way to help you and please you. Amazing! The only annoying thing was that the shower water runs hot then cold while showering.

Great spot in the city, at walking distance to most activities. Great service from the day staff, less from the night staff.

Easy and lovely
Hotel Balmoral was great - the room had just what we needed and was comfortable. The staff were friendly and stored our luggage for a few days while we traveled abroad. It's in an easy location with walkable access to Gràcia and other Barcelona neighborhoods.
