It is a beautiful vintage hotel. We arrived to check in at 3, but the room wouldn’t be ready until 4:30. After being on the road since 4am, this was very disappointing, and the young man was unapologetic. The room was beautiful, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was so lopsided, I kept fighting to stay in place. Neither one of us got any sleep. Their restaurant gets crowded in the evening. After being on the bourbon trail all day, we came back to find no parking spots available. Food in the restaurant is overpriced and mediocre.
The bright spot was the Tavern because of Lexi, our bartender.
