"I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....
"The hotel and gardens are beautiful - immaculate garden perfect for a pre dinner cocktail. Was very impressed with the decor and high standard of furnishings - should be a wedding venue or offer cream teas. We had an amazing dinner - cannot fault the food or drink!! "
"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. "Lovely olde world pub-restaurant. Excellent food, both breakfasts and evening meals.This is a real heart of the community pub, with lots going on, including a Petanque match, when we were there. Check-in at the bar was easy. The service was very friendly and excellent throughout. A well stocked bar, including a local beer, 'Gem' by name and 'Gem' by nature. The en-suite double room was clean and comfortablebut you are better off relaxing in the bars downstairs, where there was two dining lounges and a dedicated sports TV room.Sitiuated in the historic, lovely village of Eastry, just over 10 miles from Dover."

"We had a great stay in this beautiful, old property which had a lot of character. Ideally situated for restaurants, walks and the river. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend away and we enjoyed many walks around Sandwich. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower! "
