"The historical aspect and property arrangement was quaint. Central location is very convenient. Being right on the lake was nice, as was the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. The goose poop on the vast lawn between the cottage and lake does require you to be very careful where you walk. We were a group of 8 friends, so appreciated having the option of all beds arranged as singles. Our coffee maker wasn't working correctly. and they brought us a brand new one within a few hours. The bathrooms could use some updating and the showers didn't drain well. The window A/C units on each side of the house kept the bedrooms cool, but the kitchen/living room in the center were uncomfortable in July. If I came with a smaller group, I'd probably stay in the hotel, but the cabin was great for a large group. "
