"This house proved to be an idea l place to spend a few days with grandparents, children and grandchildren. The facilities were fantastic and allowed us to enjoy our holiday despite very poor weather. The warm enclosed swimming pool enabled the grand children to improved their swimming skills and the movie screen and projector allowed the adults to catch up on some movies. I hope we get chance to return before long."

My family enjoys walking, and the house is perfectly situated for a beautiful walk into Dartmouth in one direction, and a stroll to the Green Dragon pub in Stoke Fleming in the other direction."

"What can we say other than “absolutely fabulous “. The house is amazing with beautiful views and facilities. Every bedroom is a good size so no one felt disadvantaged . The pool is perfect and beautifully warm . A big advantage is the local pub where we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Roast . We felt very privileged to stay here and will visit again ."

"Lovely property. The bed is so comfortable! Simon and Abbi are perfect hosts. The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s easy to get the ferry to Dartmouth where there is a lot going on and some excellent restaurants. We enjoyed our visit to Greenway. Would highly recommend the retreat for a relaxing stay."

"Our 3rd stay with Peggy at Brambles, we booked extra nights as it is such a gaven. The accommodation is better than described , very comfortable and for a family it’s a five star hotel but the freedom of self catering. Lots of lovely walks nearby and close to Thurieston beach and hope cove so plenty of walks , great food and accessible beaches nearby. Peggy is so welcoming and nothing is to big an ask ! Looking forward to our next stay !"

"Lovely spacious barn conversion in a quiet rural location within easy reach of beaches and eateries. The only downside was that all bedrooms are accessed by stairs which was a struggle but manageable for my elderly father. Overall a very enjoyable stay and I would very much recommend."

"We had a very enjoyable stay in Chapel House. The house is a great place to relax and take in the wonderful views over the river. It is well equipped with comfortable beds & sofas. There are some great walks from the house with Dartmouth just a short ferry ride away. Very good breakfasts available 2 mins down the road at Ebb & Flow. Netflix was an added bonus."

"Honestly, this was a wonderful hotel all round! I was sent down here for work but decided to bring my mum with me for a cheeky free trip to Torquay and the staff at the hotel couldn’t be any more accommodating than they were! She’s disabled and I had a plethora of requests to help make her stay more comfortable and they came up trumps on every single one of them. The staff were lovely, the room was lovely and spacious, the food was excellent and the service was five stars! We ordered room service and there was a small tray charge for this, but it was worth it for the convenience, quality and level of service. There is a little spa area, emphasis on the word little, but does the trick perfectly. I have some more work coming up down this way so will definitely be rebooking as soon as my dates are confirmed! Just great, if you’re in the area, please go here!"
