"Rooms are well furnished with good quality furniture. Staff were friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Overall the establishment is a 5 star rating with excellent good quality meals both in the morning and at night. Ideal location for getting about the area and would highly recommend this venue. "
"This is a lovely hotel. We had a room in the Pole Barn which had its own outside seating. The seating here could do with being a wee bit more comfortable, but it was a nice touch. The room was small but very well-designed - controllable temp and lighting, a fridge and a great bathroom. The restaurant was lovely - big, airy and stylish. The food was excellent adn the main bonus was the staff -friendly and helpful without fail."

Purdy Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Light bright rooms, overlooking fields with castle & sea in the distance. Plenty of parking at front of building. Sraff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice both cold & cooked. There is an onsite cafe adjouning hotel which was ideal. They served hot & cold dishes, variety of sandwiches, cakes, puds etc. It is open 24/7 & used by passersby on A1.
Very central for trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne etc.
We would definitely recommend & will be making a return jorney for sure as still lots to explore. "
"Perfect location for what we wanted to do. House is well equipped with modern appliances and decor. Fantastic shower in upstairs bathroom, perfect for 2 couples (and two younger children in bunk beds if you have them). Belford is a small village with very friendly people (especially the Black Swan - great music night on Sunday and Quiz on Thursday if that's your vibe). Close enough to get to towns (Alnwick, Berwick), castles (too many to mention but Bamburgh and Alnwick are the best) and natural history (Farne Islands for birdwatching). Overall a great stay!"
"A fabulous house in a beautiful part of the world"

"If i had to sum the cottage and the holiday in one word it would be Heaven but There is not much else can be said for this amazing place that would do it justice you have to experience it for yourself We were so lucky we found it and hope to get back again next year "
"The cottage was well equipped very comfortable and well looked after. Belford is convenient for sights and quiet with a supermarket and pubs in walking distance.
We had to contact an intermediary on arrival as we had not been sent the email woth the keycode. This was irritating but they handled it very well for us."
"An elderly Coaching Inn - which, sadly, is starting to show it's age. Staffing levels do not seem to be adequate; there are known problems with the hot water supply and the meal menu was limited. Nevertheless, the room was quiet and comfortable enough and the hotel is very well situated for visiting the coast and numerous local attractions such as Bamburgh Castle. Useful bus services to Berwick, Bambugh and Newcastle."
