Whether you’re travelling with friends or family, Sandpipers will be a tranquil home from home as soon as you step through the door. Sleeping up to four guests, this charming cottage has a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, a shower room and a large, enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. Located in Belford in the heart of Northumberland, Sandpipers is a fantastic choice for self-catering, dog friendly staycations in the North East.

The Space:
With a neutral colour scheme and quality finishing throughout, Sandpipers has a refined and stylish look. When booking this holiday home, you’ll have full access to the property which includes a fully equipped kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, a family bathroom and a private garden with outdoor furniture.

Sandpipers has a bright and spacious living room with comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV making it perfect for relaxing. Sharing this space is the dining area which features a light wooden table and comfy dining chairs.

The kitchen is traditional in style with white wooden cabinets and a minimalist design. You’ll have everything you could need to prepare meals easily during your stay as the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and cookware.

You’ll find two bedrooms at Sandpipers, along with a family bathroom. The master bedroom boasts a queen bed and the second bedroom is a twin. Both bedrooms have premium bed linens and ample storage space.

The family bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and vanity unit. An ensuite boasting a bathtub and overhead shower can also be found attached to the queen bedroom.

Outside you’ll find a large gravelled terrace bordered with shrubs and trees with outdoor furniture. Perfect for al fresco dining and unwinding in the sunshine, this outside space is a real added bonus! Steps then lead down to a large, enclosed grass area which is securely fenced and surrounded with flower borders.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Sandpipers are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles.

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Sandpipers per reservation.

Please note that the fireplace is electric.

The Neighborhood:
Sandpipers is situated in the small, peaceful hamlet of Fenham-le-Moor in Belford looking out towards Holy Island. Both Lindisfarne Castle and Bamburgh Castle can be seen from the property, and being so close to the Fenham Flats nature reserve means that a large variety of wading birds can be heard from the garden.

Belford has a thriving and friendly market square at its centre, brimming with independent shops, restaurants and inns. It’s an ideal base for those wanting to partake in a spot of fishing and golfing.

Sandpipers is just a short 15-minute drive from the gorgeous coastal village of Bamburgh. Here you’ll find miles of stunning sandy shores and Bamburgh Castle, which is one of the finest castles in the country. Standing on the Northumberland coastline for over 1,400 years, there is a wealth of history to uncover.

Getting Around:
Sandpipers is located within 20 minutes’ drive time to beautiful areas within Northumberland such as Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell. There are excellent travel links as the cottage is only a short distance from the A1.

The closest train station is Chathill, which is roughly a 20-minute drive from Sandpipers so local towns in Northumberland can easily be reached via rail.

There are a number of bus stops throughout Belford. Hop on the 418 service to explore Bamburgh, Beadnell, Alnwick and Alnmouth amongst others. The X18 route travels between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed with stops in Morpeth, Amble and Seahorses.

Newcastle Airport is roughly one hour away by car.

Relaxing wknd
Lovely location with a beautiful garden. All items needed for a short stay available for use. Double bed so comfortable however twin beds a little cramped together. Only minor comment for improvement was that is was cold the 1st night as heaters not on. Would book again

Brilliant stay!
The property is really well laid out and the garden (with a distant view of Lindisfarne) was great. We brought our dog on his first trip away and he loved racing round the garden which was well fenced. The kitchen has everything you might need. Communication before and after our stay was fast and helpful.
