Lovely house and location

This was a great little place in walking distance to the town of Bellagio. Quiet, sunny place with a lemon tree outside of the kitchen window and 2 little decks to sip your morning coffee. Kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies, and the new shower was lovely. The lovely smell of jasmine wafted through the apartment when we opened the doors!

Great apartment away from the crowds

Location is perfect if you’re willing and able to walk the hill. Great view of the town and mountains. Apartment has all the accommodations for a long stay (kitchen, washer). Quiet neighborhood away from the old town/tourist places. Bellagio in general might be a bit limiting if you’re staying for long and don’t have a car, but the access to many ferries keeps variety possible.

Peaceful Flat in Tourist Crazed Bellagio

The property was as per advertised both in description and photos. The flat looks more like a home than a rental investment, which is greatly appreciated. The flat is close to everything in Bellagio, the downtown, the ferry and a market. We had a car but left it parked since finding parking in Bellagio is its own sport. The flat is on a hill. The result was a lot of walking (happy about that) but do be aware there are a lot of hills in the area. One night just got a pizza take away with wine from just down the hill from the flat and really enjoyed a dinner away from crowds. Highly recommend the flat and Renato as a host. He was always available and very helpful and informative. One recommendation would be a couple of fans in the flat. The temperatures were fine, but there was a fair amount of humidity while we were there at the beginning of October.

Perfect Stay

This place was our favorite place out of the 8 places we stayed on our trip. We stayed here a week and the location is great. The apartment is close to the center of town but far enough that you can escape the craziness of the tourists in Bellagio. The owner is a great host and offers lots of recommendations and answers questions.

Wonderfully proportioned apartment with all the amenities you would need. Lovely terrace and backyard. You need good legs but it’s within walking distance of a public beach with a floating dock my daughter loved, and there is a stone path with steps that lead directly into town nearby. But most of all Renato is an excellent and gracious host who even took the time to find us an inflatable raft for use on the lake. He was very responsive and provided many recommendations for things to do (like local markets) and places to eat. We felt like we were experiencing real life in Italy. I would highly recommend his home for your next vacation.

On the hill with Beautiful Mountain Views

Renato was a wonderful host! He picked us up at the ferry dock with his car and drove us around showing us where the good restaurants and grocery store were located.. He also checked in with us to be sure we were happy and ok. Lovely balcony to enjoy late afternoon wine . The pizza restaurant down the hill is a great place for dining- Great Lake view and wonderful pizza!

Beautiful Bellagio

My girlfriend and I spent 5 days at Renato’s property and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Renato himself is a very accommodating and generous host, who offered us transport to and from the property. The location is no more than a 15 minute walk from the town centre and it is in an ideal location for the San Giovanni lakeside when a swim is needed. Faultless.

Wonderful Host and Beautiful View

Renato was fantastic. He made us feel like family and answered questions, no matter how simple. The apartment had everything needed, including reliable, high speed, internet. The location is central with one caveat; the walking is hilly and difficult for the elderly (taxis are few or non existant). I would not hesitate to book again and revisit.

A lovely appartment.

We loved staying here. The Apartment was lovely. We would love to come back. Renato, you realy know how to make people, feel welcome! All the sweets for the kids, drinks, wine and fruit in the refrigerator what a wonderful thing to do. The appartment has a wonderful view to the Mountains and is close to the city. Once more Renato thank you very much, you made a good holyday even better. We will be back.

Live like a local in quiet Aureggio

This place is a quiet gem. The apartment is high above the tourist center of Bellagio in the neighborhood of Aureggio, but a nice walk on an ancient cobblestone path down to the center, and an easy walk to the grocery store in the other direction. Renato is a welcoming host, transporting us from and to the ferry as we needed, and also taking me shopping for food the night we arrived. He and his neighbors have thought of everything and made us feel very comfortable. It is so much better than staying in a hotel - the apartment has shutters to keep it cool during the hottest hours, very good fans, and curtains to keep out the mosquitos. The kitchen is well stocked. Without a car, we got in shape fast walking back from a meal out, but the walk was one of my favorite parts. I would love to come back someday!

Perfect sunny apartment

A great location in a neighborhood setting with everything in walking distance (great exercise, too!). Was the perfect base for my husband and me to explore Bellagio and Varenna. Renato is a generous and very responsive host—thanks again, Renato!

Lovely place with garden and views

This apartment had everything we needed to enjoy Bellagio. We were very comfortable and loved the view of the area from the balcony at night. It's an easy walk to bus stop, and markets, and a slightly longer but beautiful walk to the main area of Bellagio. Renato was a wonderful host and went above and beyond in many ways. It was a wonderful place and I would rent it again!

Nice, quiet place in Bellagio

Very nice place, very quiet, lots of space and a 10 minute walk to town centre. The owner, Renato, is a nice guy, that gives you all information needed, when you arrive. And he fills the fridge with juice, colas, beers, wine, water. And theres biscuits, bread and food. All you need. Best recommendations. Very good with kids. Garden to play in, toys and they get their own room. Try the pizza-place near by.

Très bon séjour

Digne d'un hôtel 3 étoiles et situé au coeur du Lac de Côme, cet appartement est le lieu idéal pour découvrir le lac. On s'est senti chez nous dès notre arrivée grâce au propriétaire vraiment très attentionné. La seule chose qui a pu nous manquer, c'est la vue sur le lac en se réveillant, mais on y descend en 15 mn à pied !!!

Okay, so where to begin???

I will start by saying this was my favorite apartment in our 1 month visit in Italy. We very much enjoyed all the locations but Lake Como and Bellagio are absolutely stunning. And, to make the stay so wonderful was our host, Renato, who picked us up at the Ferry. Now, we don't speak Italian and his English was minimal so the communication was an adventure...but hand gestures (the good kind) always seem to work. At his apartment, his upstairs neighbor, Julianna, who does speak English helped to translate and explain the features of the apartment. He provided breads, jams, fruit, eggs, and wine for our stay! Okay, so the best part, his wife prepared us a dinner for our first night, which was amazing. We had been traveling all day from Venice so this was so welcome to not worry about dinner (or wine). The meal was absolutely delicious. Still need to contact Renato for the recipe for the meat dish. Another welcome feature was the brightness of the apartment. The living and dining room area have many windows with a lovely view of the mountains. For those who like a bathtub, you got it! It was approximately a 15 minute walk through the neighborhood to Bellagio and the view from the path was gorgeous. While there, we used the ferry system, which was always on time, to travel to the other villages. They were all very pleasant to visit and we were certainly happy with our choice of Bellagio. We would definitely return and I hope to be able to bring my family for the next visit. Renato took us to the ferry when we departed and we received a nice memento from him. Thank you Renato!!!

Sympatisch

Renato ist ein toller und großzügiger Gastgeber, seine große Wohnung ist sauber, freundlich , gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Bett im " Kinderzimmer " etwas beengt für Erwachsene. Es gibt 2 Balkone. Das Städtchen ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreicht.

Un'appartamento eccellente

Grazie a nostro ospite Renato Gilardoni, abbiamo trascoro una vacanza eccellente nell'appartamento molto confortabile ed accogliente. Questa casa molto ben attrezzata si raggiunge facilmente in piedi al centro della citta di Bellagio, anche e vicino al lago per prendere i traghetto e nave per le altre citta belle sulla riva del lago. Ma, soprattutto, la generosita, calorosita e gentilezza di nostro ospite Renato hanno fatto tanto memorabile questa vacanza - un'uomo incantevole. Vivamente consigliata questa casa di vacanza.

Appartement avec jardin très agréable à Bellagio

L'appartement est très pratique et bien équipé. Le petit jardin est mignon même si l'accès n'est pas direct de l'appartement. Renato est vraiment très sympathique. Il cherche à faire plaisir à ses hôtes et ceci est vraiment très agréable. Le réfrigérateur était plein à notre arrivée et Renato a pris le temps de nous accueillir même à une heure un peu tardive. Il nous a aidé à communiquer avec le garage, on peut vraiment compter sur son aide et ses conseils. Notre séjour s'est très bien pensé. N"hésitez pas à réserver chez Renato, vous ne serez pas déçus !

Séjour à Bellagio

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison de Renato où nous avons été très bien accueillis. Rien ne manque dans la maison. Le frigo était même plein à notre arrivée : vin, boissons diverses, légumes, etc... ! Renato a été très attentionné envers nous et a eu la gentillesse de nous faire goûter des légumes de son jardin. Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimé le café expresso. Le centre ville de Bellagio est accessible à pied en 1/4 d'heure. Nous n'avons quasiment pas utilisé notre véhicule de la semaine. Pour le stationnement, Renato nous avait réservé une place de stationnement sur la place située à proximité de l'appartement. Le lieu est très calme et reposant. La petite surprise de fin de séjour a ravi notre fille. Merci encore à Renato dont le français est parfait !
