Don’t believe the tax rates you see on the site, hotel charges double

While the views of Lake Lugano are on point, the place is outdated and in dire need of renovation. We stayed in a Grand Suite, but cooling was a major issue, there were only two AC units for four bedrooms and a living room, which is unacceptable. We ended up dragging a mattress into the living room just to stay cool enough to sleep. The second AC unit had its noisy compressor installed directly inside the bathroom, making that space disruptively loud. To top it off, the building completely ran out of hot water by the evening. You are paying strictly for the location, not the comfort.

Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it!
