The Hurt Arms itself was lovely. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, our stay was spoiled by the location of our room. The room itself was decorated to a very good standard and was ultra clean, but unfortunately was situated at the front of the building directly overlooking a junction and so was incredibly noisy with traffic. There was also only a curtain, which we had to leave drawn as both the on coming traffic and anyone on the train, which also overlooked the junction, could see into the room. The room would benefit from the addition of blinds, which would still let light in the room and triple glazing, to cut down the traffic noise. As long as we didn’t have Room 3, we would stay at The Hurt Arms again.
