They do have a hiking trail and a pond behind the property, which was nice. "One of the most important aspects of a good hotel is the smell of it when I first walk in the door. This lodge smelled clean and was clean. The second important thing is the customer service. This place was just okay. Polite but not very friendly. The third important aspect is the plumbing and that was just okay too. Workable enough so we didn’t have to ask for another room but the little soaps were tiny and the toilet was in okay condition. A little hard to flush sometimes. They act like it’s someplace special but it really isn’t. It was a good stay but nothing special. Location was convenient to everything - restaurants and stores."

"I travel for work and had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 months. This is a great lodge in a lovely part of the country. The friendly staff will go out of their way to accomodate guests if at all possible. This is a modernized lodge type property in a picturesque setting. There are room options that include a sauna in the room. There is also a flash heater type of water heater that provides almost instant and endless hot water on demand. The breakfast offerings include the personal waffle iron kit and all you can eat of it. I never had even the slightest issue with cleanliness and the staff strives to make your stay enjoyable. I don’t know how this property rates with others, but I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars."
