There are several places of course, to shop and eat in the area, so quite a few amenities nearby. The room is small but very comfortable. This was a really nice place to stay for our last two nights in Berlin. We wanted to still explore Mitte and a bit around Alexanderplatz but have an easy connection to the airport on our final, early morning. So close and easy to walk to the station, and from there, a comfortable ride to BER airport. A nice part of our wonderful time in Berlin!

Great stay.
Really good. Hotel room super nice with lots of space. Would have been nice to have a bar fridge in the room. Staff wonderful and friendly. Rooms Modern and super clean. Hotel breakfast a bit expensive but delicious and fresh. Really enjoyed, would recommend. Well connected and central.

Our experience was mixed and overall improved after we asked for a room change. We stayed four nights. Although I booked an upgraded room with a king bed, we were put into a standard room with a queen bed. What's worse is that room 18016 (18th floor, room 16) was right next to a slamming door AND a service room where staff cleaned up after the lounge closed at 1:00 am on some nights and 2:00 am on other night. There was way too much noise, from 1:00–3:00 am. Just as an aside, the walls, carpet, and ceiling around the 18th floor lounge was also painted black, which made it feel like we were staying in an industrial basement. It was depressing. After two nights of this, we went to the front desk and the staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. They moved us to the 16th floor and into a room that matched the description of what I had reserved (upgraded with a king bed). We were also at the end of a brightly-lit, lightly painted hallway, so it was bright and cheery and QUIET! We also paid for breakfast. This experience started out somewhat bad and ended positively. The hotel is really popular for people on weekend getaways, so the breakfast area was literally overrun with hoards of people. Once Monday and Tuesday came along, the breakfast area was much more pleasant. If you're visiting Berlin, I recommend a mid-week stay to avoid the weekend crowds at the hotel. Museums are also closed on Mondays, so a mid-week visit is better.

The property was great but unfortunately they treat to Expedia guests terrible. I was checking in with a friend that made the reservation directly from the hotel and they gave him a bottle of water but refused to give me as well with the claim that they do noit give anything to Expedia guests. The same thing happaned when we have asked for late check out. He got it but they refused to give me as well and said that next time I should make the reservation through the hotel and not through expedia.

Central location - modern clean establishment
Great staff with clean comfortable room. The room was clean, modern and with a great view of the Alexanderplatz. The room is a bit like a bento box - the room size is a wee bit small but worked well for this solo traveler. Great location for seeing all the well known tourist sites, restaurant options and a nearby grocery store.

Hey I’m surprised by the smart rooms even though small but felt so cozy. And everything is reachable in few minutes (station) and all malls, sightseeing stuff etc. Definitely staying here if I come to Berlin again. After a long euro trip this was very cozy.

This property was in the perfect location. Close to everything shopping, restaurants, attractions, public transportation etc. Very clean and the staff were super friendly. This hotel has a breakfast restaurant only however there are lots of places nearby to eat. There is also no on-site parking available, there is a parking garage about 300feet away that costs $20 euros/day.

Berlin No.1 Hotel
Hotel was very clean. The rooms were comfortable. The top floor bar was very relaxing and well stocked with a good range of drinks.

Convenient location to see main sights on foot or by public transport. Hotel was clean, bright and functional. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety although the coffee was from machines and a little weak. Decaf was available but only as instant. Staff were friendly but checkin took a long time even when already done online. Seemed to be some issues with system used. There always seemed to be long lineups at checkin. Nevertheless, I would stay again.

Good value for money. Great location, very clean and nice staff. Breakfast is extra but really good so worth paying for - good quality and lots of options. My only minor complaint was the heating was on quite high at night even after you turned down the thermostat. I assume this was the background heating for the building. It was a very cold weekend but I got a little too hot at night. All in all, I'd recommend the hotel and would make this my first choice when I visit Berlin again. Excellent value for money.

Stayed there for 5 nights, the hotel has a great location but location is not everything .. rest of services; room comfort, facilities, breakfast, staff are all below average. Some rooms are very small, all rooms are not equipped with phone hence you can’t reach anyone in case of emergency, there are no slippers, no trash cans but a single one at the bathroom, no drawers, no closet just open shelves, 6 hangers per room! So don’t bring your winter clothes!! Rooms are very dark, not enough Lights, only 5 spots and a very small mirror set in the darkest part of the room, TV takes ages to load, mattresses are bad and could cause back pain, room key card doesn’t function properly, sure you can replace it but after long waiting time before the crowded reception. Breakfast; they offer no live cooking, hence no fried eggs, no omelet, no scrambled eggs only boiled eggs ! staff at the restaurant are not welcoming and aggressive.. I asked to see the hotel manager but they responded that I have to send him an email which I actually did but got no response till I departed from the hotel. Very bad experience, no value for money and I could booked far better hotel with same money at my beloved city Berlin .. bottom line; great location but worst services
