"We used to stay at the Adlon, but no longer. This I think is the best hotel in Berlin. Spacious well-equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Glorious breakfasts. And (if you can afford it as it is not cheap) the glorious Facil restaurant."

"Interesting hotel in Berlin - just north of check point charlie and just south of the shopping district. Brandenburg gate and museum island are easily walkable so you can get to most of the tourist attractions easily. Great place to stay for a first visit to Berlin."

"Per and Fanny on the reception desk were SO helpful and welcoming. I had a wonderful view from my lovely room that was switched when I arrived. I was so happy. The breakfast was so delicious and fresh and healthy. The train is next door. The leaflets in the front reception told me about galleries I didnt' know about and went to (Helmut Newton). I was round the corner from the Neue Gallery museum. Close to so many things. Gropius Bau gallery so close. Checkpoint Charlie. and SUPER easy to get to...

"This hotel has to be one of the best examples of price/performance that I have stayed in in Germany. The staff was awesome, the breakfast buffet was the best I have had in a while, the price point of the rooms was great. Also the location to the Wittenberg Platz UBahn, directly next to KaDeWe and the Kufürstendam, and 10-15 minutes to the Aquarium and Zoo makes the Mercure unbeatable in my eyes.
