Unique boutique hotel in south london. Located directly adjacent to the borough street underground station. Very convenient for getting around London. Just 4 blocka to the Borough Market.
There is limited access to services of any type from hotel staff. The desk is manned only 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. There is phone access to someone at all times however.
There was no a/c, simply fans in our room but we were given an ice old towel when we checked in and that was absolutely perfect. We were able to keep it cold in the bar fridge in the room.
And there is no lift service here...for me with knee issues and a walker it meant a long slow climb to the third floor
This property suits younger, active people. Similar in many ways to a hostel.

Lovely area, pretty streets. Lots of handy shops.

Our stay at the Grange Beauchamp was excellent!
The location couldn’t be better! It is within a 5 minute walk to Russel Square Station on the Piccadilly Line, and a 5-7 minute walk to Holborn Station which has access to the Piccadilly and Central lines for the Tube. It is quiet, and safe, with parks close by, and right around the corner from The British Museum!
The staff were lovely and helpful. They were always smiling and welcoming.
Our room was very large, which was perfect for two adults and two teens. We didn’t feel like we were cramped and on top of each other. Our room was very clean and in good shape, with normal wear and tear. Best of all, it was cool because of the Air Conditioning! The room could have used a dresser for storage, though there were two closets for our things.
We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more.

Love this hotel & I always return here but have noticed a sneak move at check out where they are charging a percentage for gratuities for reception staff etc. I’m not totally against this although I think it’s a stretch as they already have gratuity included often but the way they applied it out asking or running it past us felt very cheap @ underhand. I went back to reception and told her they can keep the charge. I will pay but dont ever apply this to people again without asking. This is enough to make me change hotels. It is expensive to stay here. I don’t enjoy such behaviours & as a matter of principal I would change hotel choice next time.

"Stayed here many times the location and view of tower bridge are amazing. Whilst the rooms are a little tired and need a refurb the hotel is very clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the bar restaurant on the first floor is excellent."
