This stone barn conversion cottage sits amidst beautiful rural countryside, close to the coast. Its location allows guests the chance to get away from it all in the Devon countryside, but with the bustle of seaside towns and villages within a few miles. This is the ideal base from which you can discover the delights of Devon.


The property is equipped and furnished to a good standard throughout to ensure a comfortable family holiday. There are two bedrooms on the first floor - a compact double room and a single bedroom. A shower room completes the first-floor accommodation. On the ground floor there is a good-sized kitchen and a spacious living room which has exposed stonework and a stable door to the courtyard. Guests also have use of the enclosed garden (not adjacent to cottage).


A local inn is within 300 yards of the property and the seaside resort of Westward Ho! with its shops, cafes and sandy beach is just 1 mile away. This part of the county has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many wonderful walks including the long-distance South West Coast Path which passes nearby on which you can explore miles of Devon coastline by foot or bicycle. A public footpath across surrounding farmland leads to Abbotsham Cliffs which make for a wonderful walk and spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean. The pretty fishing village of Appledore with its narrow winding lanes and historic quayside is less than 2.9 miles away, and there is a golf club and excellent outdoor activities centre within a short drive. The port town of Bideford is 3 miles away where visitors can stock up on holiday necessities. From April 2024 this property can only accommodate.

Lovely.

Lovely little cottage - perfect for us for just 2 nights near my family. Clean and warm and the owners had even left a Christmas tree lit up for us! It was very cosy and in a lovely setting within the farm yard. Thank you.
