A lovely stay in a great location
We were met at the property with a welcoming smile, and all the bits and pieces to make a cream tea were waiting for us in the kitchen. The property itself is quaint and comfortable - the ideal venue for a few days with friends - and the heated indoor swimming pool was a welcome addition to whatever else the property had to offer. The location is ideal for visiting the delights of North Devon - including Clovelly, Hartland Quay and Bideford - and just down the road in Woolsery is The Farmer's Arms, a superb, upmarket but not stuffy, pub restaurant - definitely worth a visit, but you will need to book. Overall, a lovely experience.

Family getaway
We stayed in Rosie's cottage with our two little ones at the end of June for one week. Christina was very friendly and introduced herself later in the afternoon when we arrived. We spoke on the telephone a few days before. A lovely cream tea was left for us. There wasn't anyone staying in Millers cottage so we got to go in the swimming pool whenever we wanted. This was a hit with our boys. They also enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and slide in the gardens. Great location. Nice and quiet and all you can hear is the sound of the many birds. My youngest said hello to the ducks and hen each morning before we went off in the car. Lots of extras included that we had forgotten to pack-tea towels, washing liquid etc. So thankyou! We are looking to stay again with our larger family and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing getaway with family. Do not ignore Christina's directions to the cottage like we did and follow your Satnav.

Cute cottage
Very cute cottage on a farm. Nice and clean with everything you need.Lovely to hear the birds and cows in the morning. We used the swimming pool which was nice and warm and the games room of an evening. Christina and Gordon were lovely hosts, very welcoming. Hopefully we will stay again in the future.

My dad and I had a fantastic stay! The swimming pool and the games room are amazing, the property is really spacious and has everything you need. The hosts are lovely and we felt really welcome throughout.

Beautiful peaceful getaway.
We really enjoyed our first family holiday at Rosie's farm cottage. Chris and Gordon were so welcoming and helpful and the cottage was delightful. They had even put a cot up for us in the master bedroom. The pool was a nice touch for the boys to play in and was nice and warm too. We didn't think about distance to takeaways but actually the village turned out to have a lovely fish and chip shop that also did amazing gourmet burgers. So on the one night we didn't want to cook that was a lifesaver. Nearest town was a good half hour drive due to type of roads. (Not a bad thing just something to bear in mind!) The cottage was a lovely size for us and we all felt happily at home even for such a short time. Would Def consider booking again!

Great place for a family break
This was our second visit to Rosie's Cottage and we will hopefully be back! Our two girls love the outside space and the cottage is presented to a really good standard. The pool is great fun and there are loads of places to visit nearby, even caught sight of some dolphins on a walk up Windbury Head! Thanks very much!

A fabulous stay in Millers cottage.
The cottage was clean, spacious and just like home from home. The facilities were beyond our expectations and we enjoyed the pool, garden and exploring the local area. We appreciated the cream tea on arrival too. Highly recommended!

Really nice, clean cottage with separate pool (shared with neighbouring cottage). Games room with pool table was a boon for the kids. Very quiet area but 15 min drive to Westwood Ho and other populations.

Most Excellent Getaway
My family and I (2 children aged 7 and 8) enjoyed our stay here immensely. The girls loved seeing the ducks, chickens and peackocks! We all enjoyed the pool and the games room. For day trips, we went to Clovelley, The Milky Way and then to Westward Ho! The girls loved the beach so much we ended up going several times. This was a great location and a great place to relax and really unwind. The cottage was very spacious and had everything you could want in the kitchen! I can't recommend this place enough.

The cottage was lovely and comfy perfect for visiting places around devon. It was lovely being able to interact with the animals the hosts were lovely and they let us see the animals up close including cows chickens peacocks and quail. Having a swimming pool was an added bonus would love to stay there again

Love this place. Cottage is clean and well appointed. There are a number of really nice places within a 20 minute drive and we took advantage of this. A couple of opportunities would the that the oven could do with replacing and the games room could do with a spruce and clean up. Otherwise outstanding.

We had a great stay. The cottage is clean , well furnished and has everything you will need. Christina was so welcoming and provided a cream tea on arrival which we ate in the garden of the cottage. So many beautiful places to visit close by, including woodland walks, the coast path and numerous beaches. The fish and chip shop in Woolfardisworthy village is excellent.

Very clean cottage. Christina had left us a cream tea and bottle of wine on arrival, which was a lovely and very welcome surprise. Also there was a vase of fresh flowers which made the cottage feel even more homely. Although small it was very well equipped and warm. Christina was a very friendly and welcoming hostess.

Wonderful family getaway
I stayed in Rosie's cottage with my family (kids aged 4 and 7). We enjoyed the beautiful grounds, peaceful environments (lots of birds chirping!), trampoline and pool. The kids loved feeding the peacocks and chickens, and collecting eggs. The rooms are cozy and the house was warm, even when it was pretty windy and cold outside. Scones at check-in were much appreciated :) Overall, a great stay!

Brilliant family stay
We had such a lovely holiday at Rosie's Cottage with plenty to occupy our 5 and 2 year old boys. The indoor pool (which is currently on a morning/afternoon rota with the neighbouring cottage so you have exclusive use) was great as was the garden with HUGE trampoline, sandpit, slide and tractor. The cottage itself was well appointed with everything we needed, and the children loved the Thomas bedding in 'their' bedroom. Games room with darts, snooker and table tennis perfect for slightly older children or competitive adults! Nice walk into Woolsery village for ice creams or fish & chips. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely stay
We’re just back from a week at Rosie’s cottage, and can highly recommend it. All you need is provided in the cottage, which is immaculate. There was even 2 pints of milk in the fridge, and a cream tea waiting for us on arrival. The on-site swimming pool and games room were a big hit with our two boys. Great if the weather is not so good, or you just fancy a day around the cottage. Christina and Gordon were very welcoming and helpful with places to visit in and around North Devon. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Lovely people. If you’re looking for a base to explore Devon, you can’t go wrong with this lovely cottage.

A Gem
We had a wonderful stay. The facilities are great, especially for children. I wish we had found this place when the kids were younger - it would have saved us a fortune on trying to keep the kids entertained on rainy days. The owners were helpful and friendly. The location was ideal being in peaceful spot but within striking distance of the north Devon coast.

Lovely little cottage. Just the right distance from everything, but also in the countryside for the peace and tranquility of Devon. Kids loved the pool. Owner were lovely and the cream tea when we arrived was a lovely touch. Chris even tried to find GF scones for me, which was really nice. The peacocks and other animals onsite are lovely for the kids to see. I would recommend coming and staying here.

A really nice cottage with great gardens and of course the indoor heated pool - making it perfect for winter getaways as well. Quick and easy to get to from Bristol, so all up a perfect weekend escape. We'll be back.
