Positives about the inn: It's in a good location, the staff were very nice and helpful, the room itself was nice, and decent amount of parking. Negatives: It's a noisy area, boy racers drive down the road all night long, the inn itself is a pub so it closes at 11pm but it's still rowdy afterward and people turn up from taxis at all hours of the night. Our room didn't have AC or a fan, so it was uncomfortably warm and having the window open meant tons of noise from outside. The walls are also thin so could hear the other visitors pretty clearly up all night chatting and laughing. Additionally I had booked this room because it had a view of the ocean but it had a much better view of all the scaffolding around the windows.

Disappointed with main dinner I had fish and chips and it didn’t taste like cod and it wasn’t cheap sent it back breakfast in morning nice size beans freezing and mushrooms would stay again just wouldn’t eat there

Lovely staff who made our stay special. The rooms are away from the main hotel so noise is limited. Pub closes at 10pm . Would definitely stay again.

Friendly abd laid back. Good food great staff.
Beautiful location. Premises are clean and well laid out. Laid back vibe. Staff very friendly and accommodating, willing to go the extra mile and make special requests hapoen, be it in tge riom, or special meal requirements. This was our 6th visit so shows how good it is.

Weekend away from it all
Love this place ,Westward ho was my holiday place when i was younher and still is as my grandparents lived in northam just up the road..I've seen a lot of changes in the area.now my parents live in Bideford i still visit and bring my girls here..the waterfront is a definite place to stay..lovely food ,lovely rooms and the bed is so great had a fantastic sleep ,thks for a lovely stay x

Excellent location
Parking was so convenient it’s at back of pub, with lots of spaces. Breakfast was excellent and good choice. Venue is just a short distance from beach. Room was very smart and comfortable but with such a lot of furniture there wasn’t much room to put a bag on the floor.

Friendly staff and very generous breakfast portions. The cormorant room was extremely nice although the only view was a flat roof. The only complaint is that it is close to the kitchen extractor fans which made it noisy when opening windows.
