"The views at this cabin were SPECTACULAR. The house was exactly what we were hoping for. We wanted an unplugged vacation with board games and no electronics. There were loads of board games to keep us entertained. The stocked trout pond was a full experience for our family. This was equally rustic and fabulous. The house is a lot bigger than we all expected. The only slight downside was the lack of air conditioning. Which was ok since there were plenty of fans! We wanted a middle of the woods experience and this truly delivered for our family. I do think this site is not safe for smaller children. Our youngest is 6 but is a very aware child and was cautious on all cliffs around the site. The outdoor dining site had views that could kill! It was seriously gorgeous. The house is fully stoked with everything you would need. Outdoor grill, fire pit, outdoor seating, ping pong, and the sounds of the stream on the property. The beds were very comfortable and it had 3 floors with 3 full bathrooms and 3 king sized bedrooms AND a hang out room that had two twin beds. It was very comfortable. It was very serene and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you for renting out your cabin, it was honestly a core memory for our 3 kiddos and we couldn’t appreciate the sharing of your property enough!"

"As soon as we walked into this house, we felt at home. It was just as it looked in the photos. Comfy, cozy and what a view! Load-in was easy with only one step up to the porch and then into the house. The kitchen was not large but very workable. Big refrigerator to store everything. We settled in quite nicely. The deck on the main level is where we spent most of the time we were there. Beautiful view, nice and quiet, deck overhang was big enough that we could stay outside during the occasional rain storms. If you’re a hiker, this is the place! Very close to the parking lot for the Big Bald trails. We used the pool at The Village every day, nicely heated. Didn’t use, but they also have tennis, pickleball, basketball and a kids play area. Just everything you need. That’s what makes Wolf Laurel so special.There is an excellent check-in/check-out notebook on the side table in the living room. Be sure to read the check-in info right away, particularly the part about plugging in the hot water heater. You’ll want to have hot water for those showers after unloading! We spent two weeks here in August and while the rest of the South was in a heat dome, we were enjoying temps in the 70’s and sleeping under a comforter at night!! That 5100 ft elevation is wonderful!Sherrie, the host, was so responsive at every turn and a great hostess. She even sent over her house manager to replace the battery in a chirping smoke detector. Can’t say enough about the excellent service!"

"This house was great. We had 12 people in the house and we had plenty of space. Property was clean and the host was super responsive to all my questions. The mountain is gorgeous and we spent hours every morning enjoying the cool mountain air on the deck watching the sun come up. Absolutely breathtaking view. Highly recommend this property and we would all happily stay here again."

"It is a rustic cabin in the woods with beautiful views. It was well stocked, though it could have had more wash clothes. There was adequate parking space for three cars. Entrance into the gated community was smooth and easy. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"What a wonderful property and host! We wanted a “mountain cabin” experience with long range Mountain View’s and got exactly that: clean very comfortable cabin with spectacular views. The host is very responsive and helpful and promptly answered all our questions, not just with regard to the cabin, but the Wolf Laurel area and the whole NW NC mountain area in general. I’d stay at this location again in a minute. Like many properties in Wolf Laurel, the properties are pretty steep. We were in a standard rental car and were able to negotiate the roads and this particular driveway without any issues. But our visit was in the middle of the summer. If I were to come back to Wolf Laurel in the winter I will rent an SUV and AWD. That pertains to the whole community moreso than this particular property. Wonderful trip!"

"The house was nice and the view was beautiful. The gas fireplace didn't work and the hot tub was dirty. I reached out about them and was told maintenance team would be by to take care of them. No one ever showed up so we couldn't use either of them during our week stay. It was cold and both would have been nice amenities. "
