"We really enjoyed our 3-night stay over Spring break at Chickahominy Riverside with our 2 adult kids and our adult lab. Although the weather was unseasonably cold during our stay, we got to enjoy fishing off the dock twice but without any catches. Sitting by the river was so peaceful and quiet, perfect for some much-needed serenity. James was a very warm and accommodating host who went out of his way to ensure we each had our own working fishing rods ready to enjoy for our family fishing getaway. The beds were comfy and we found everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We didn't realize both spaces were studios but it worked out well for my older son to use the upstairs studio with the full kitchen so we could make sure he didn't sleep all day when it was time for us to cook breakfast. We made good use of all of the downstairs entertainment, it was perfect for spending quality family time together. If you are coming with a dog during cold weather, we highly recommend dining in with your pup at Craft31 in Williamsburg and sitting near the fireplace or visiting Copper Fox Distillery. Almost everything is a 30-40 minute drive away so this is a more remote location that requires some planning but is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!"

"The B&B was wonderful. The suite we were in was lovely; the bathroom was huge, and so was the bed (my daughter kicks)! The breakfast was great, and Louise couldn’t have been a more warm and welcoming host. The only problem was that the B&B was significantly farther from Richmond than I originally thought, but that was my problem, not the B&B’s. I also went out to the farm our last day and got to see a bunch of beautiful lambs recently arrived. One of them was very affectionate and I got to pet her - wow was she adorable! Overall, a great stay!!"
