Bumblebee Cottage: 200 year old oak beamed home

Copt Heath Cottage is a Georgian oak beamed house in a quiet location. With tapestries, patchwork quilts and period furniture throughout it is ideal for a cosy getaway for 1-5 people. The house has all modern utilities and is run on 100% renewable energy.

The cottage is near greenery, a golf course and canals. Right outside there are extensive bus links and it is only 10 minutes walk from the vibrant village centre of Knowle and 10mins drive from the NEC/Airport, it’s not under the flight path though so it’s quiet.

Please note, this is a really old house (in fact it's older than local records so we don't know how old it is, but it's at least 200 years old!) so there are oak beams that you might hit your head on if you’re over 6'3" and there's a very steep original staircase. If you want a travel-lodge style place where everything is perfect and impersonal, this isn't the place for you. All rooms are of course clean and tidy but it's an old, wonky and imperfect house! However, that is also what makes it romantic, homely and cosy.

If you enjoy old homes with a cozy feel to them, this is the place. Its adorably decorated and well equipped. The beds were super comfortable. Theres a small garden with seating as well as a seating area out front . Its within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The neighborhood was super safe and quiet. The neighbors were truly nice and friendly. The owner of the property was an amazing person. He was helpful and informative beyond any expectations. If we could give 10 stars we would. Thank you M for going above and beyond all of our expectations! We will definitely be back when were in the area again
