A beautiful property located in a peaceful area with a complimentary breakfast. I stopped during the recent heatwave and was pleased I had packed my mini travel fan as my room had the sun in the afternoon, usually this would have been a treat, just not on this occasion. My room was on the ground floor and initially I thought, that’s no problem… except the windows face the garden and communal outside seating, so make sure you close the curtains to spare any blushes.. I also did not take into consideration that the door to the room is between the kitchen area and the breakfast / dining room.. this meant that the sound of cutlery being sorted (possibly by guests as it has the feel of help yourself but please tidy up after about it) at 1030 pm on a work night was a bit of a pain… not as much of a pain as the following night around 1130 when two chaps decided on an evening snack and conversation in between the aforementioned rooms outside my door, blushes were not considered when I opened the door (naked (it was v hot, remember)) and politely asked them to consider other guests..so, great property and staff, maybe needs a sign indicating there’s a room tucked away and be a little considerate.

Friendly and helpful host. Nice welcome on arrival. Small but functional room with comfy bed, decent (shared) bathroom. Adequate parking. Nice continental breakfast. Comfy lounge area with big screen TV for watching cricket highlights! Walls are very thin. Could hear the next room folks talking at 1am.

Couldon Lodge is a lovey old place, full of character. The gardens are huge and the outlook across them and the fields beyond very relaxing, especially on a nice afternoon, when you've returned from work. The bed was comfortable and clean. The continental Breakfast arrangements are convenient and plenty of choice.

We had a wonderful stay. We couldn’t have asked for anything better other than perhaps not shared toilet and bathroom but it certainly didn’t spoil out stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Regina was an absolute star wonderfully sunny disposition. Helpful about where to eat. Rooms are spacious and ensuite too. Breakfast is self serve continental with a good choice, however, you can cook your own in the kitchen which has all amenities. Plenty room for parking. Big lounge room. Door leads.from Breakfast.l room out to the garden which is well maintained. Squirrels, ducks,coots and.other garden birds can be seen. A very nice place.to stay, quiet and relaxing.

I liked the fact that this not a run of the mill motel It also reminded me so much of the house I lived in from 1959 - 62, not far away at Allesley (sadly gone).This was owned by Jaguar Cars to accommodate student apprentices. We were amazed by the old fireplace in the sitting room, part of one of the old City gates.

Breakfast was available all day just help yourself-very good variety. Definitely pet friendly. Helpful owner-she carried baby up the 2 flights of stairs! Lovely surroundings for a short walk and very close to Coventry and Birmingham. Will return for sure and keep in mind if visiting the NEC.

A good selection left out for a continental breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean. Excellent grounds for walking the dogs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My stay was self check in as I had a late arrival but they were on hand to guide me.
