The apartment was old and dirty with some modern updates. The pictures are misleading. The place had not been cleaned in what seemed like for a very long time. The floors, baseboards, sinks, toilets, walls, couch, and rug were all very dirty. We ended up vacuuming and mopping ourselves, and the mop water was black over and over. Not brown. black. The bathtub did not drain properly, the tile caulking was coming off and moldy, and the shower curtain was moldy. During our showering, a ceiling leak took place in the kitchen. There also wasn’t sufficient towels or wash cloths. A few terry cloth rags were provided for bathing. There also isn’t a microwave. I asked for a discount due to all of the issues, but that was not honored. This is my first bad experience through VRBO. The positives: we were able to cook meals and the mattresses are comfortable.
