"The pub is located in a picturesque village (even though it's only a short distance from a major MOD site.) We were made very welcome, and all of the facilities were great. Our room was just what we needed, breakfast was very nice and well presented, and the room was comfortable. The only issue would be if you had limited mobility as there were narrow stairs in the old building. However, there were some accessible rooms in a separate building. "

"Very busy, definitely worth booking for your meal, the food was more Gastro Pub than normal but lovely none the less. Great staff. Quirky and old building with sloping floors. Very nice bed in the bedroom. Only slight downside is you can hear the bar etc downstairs until they close but if you are not an early to bed type of person its fine. VERY little parking onsite but there is other parking in the village."

"We had a 1 hr wait for our room to be ready .spacious and clean but tatty and needing redecorating .wallpaper hanging off the walls shabby furniture. Towels and bedding good. below average standard. Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing. I could not recommend this hotel The staff were brilliant and the best thing about this hotel"

"My visit was an absolute pleasure to be there, host was awesome. There was a some issue with booking but host was quickly sorted out. Property was immaculately cleaned, maintained and beautifully picturesque village. Food was awesome too. Huge thank you for an awesome experience. I will recommend anyone to visit and enjoy this hidden gem in a small village. Easy access to motor way. Thank you"

"Staff are polite and helpful - some were obviously new and inexperienced though. Cheerful welcome on arrival but not every person on reception was like this. A shame that the restaurant in the hotel was closed on an evening which meant to eating in the club house (nothing specifically wrong with this but a very limited bar menu when you're staying for more than one night and some of the language from other guests was less than desired). "
