"Clean, big room for UK, comfortable, tea and biscuits supplied. Quiet and great location next to train station and town centre. Non slip mat for shower provided. Hot rail for towels. Could use more hanging space in bathroom."

"This is an old Victorian hotel with character. It suited us because it's not modern and sterile like so many other hotels today. The room was comfortable and staff were friendly. We did not eat at the hotel so we can't comment on the food. The town is lovely to walk around with a couple of cafes and a small Morrison's grocery shop."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so conveniently located to everything. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We could occasionally hear people walking in the halls and above you but that was to be expected because of the historic nature of the building. It was charming and pleasant."
