It waa a Sunday so shops weren't open. Unfortunately since my last visit Blaenau Ffestiniog has lost a lot of their businesses. Fantastic area for the slate minea and railway though

Great little hotel, ran by and for the community, felt very welcome in the bar in the evenings as a solo traveller.

Cosy and comfortable cabin in this holiday village which is near to Coed Y Brenin where we visited daily to bike and walk. Also a short drive to Dolgellau town where there are independent shops, lovely bakeries a d pubs. The outside area was good for lovely views of the surrounding countryside and ...

Utterly captivating and beautiful, every new turn was a wow moment, I've never been anywhere quite like it. The high street is struggling as all are through the country but the people are so friendly and the place is stunning.

It's a quiet town, built for slate miners back in the day.The terminus for the Ffestiniog railway, travel on this is a must !! The Llechwedd slate mine in 20 mins walk out of the town.
