"Our family loved the Bates property!! It was immaculate, perfectly adorned, close to the beach/water and had everything you could need for a stay away--including spices, oils/butter, kitchen utensils, tons of bedding, and beach equipment (the beach is only a short walk away), The bedrooms were huge, and every room was cozy and comfortable for a large family or for just a quick getaway as a couple or a single person. The hosts went out of their way to make sure that our stay was easy and were quick to reach out and follow-up throughout our visit. We would definitely stay again!"

"Great location! This apartment is within a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Salem. If you don’t want to walk there is a bus stop about 5 minutes away. Great location to restaurants, a market and a laundry mat. The place is very clean and roomy. There is one window AC and lots of fans. Easy directions are provided on how to access the apartment. The stairs are steep and limited on room, but the host does explain this in the listing. I would definitely stay here again."

"We had a large group so this house gave us plenty of room to each have our own bedroom space which was nice. The large dining table was great for our group to dine together and play games together. The biggest complaint (mostly from the younger generation) was that there was only one TV in the whole house. Overall we enjoyed the house very much. It was relatively close to everywhere we wanted to go and allowed us to be together when we wanted yet find privacy when we needed to."

"We truly enjoyed our time at the Lore! It was a perfect set up and had everything we needed for our family including our daughter and dog. The outdoor space was very pet friendly with spaces for bathroom breaks close by and a walking path. We, unfortunately, weren't able to try the pool because it seemed to close around 8pm and we were often out and about before then. The unlocking and locking the door had a learning curve but once we figured it out, we had no issues.The host was very helpful with all questions during our stay and got back to me very quickly each time. It was a beautiful and clean apartment, we would love to go back!"
