"We had an incredible stay at Kandahar Lodge and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout our visit. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the base of the mountain where we enjoyed hiking, biking, and the scenic chairlift to the top with stunning views of Whitefish and the lake. The mountain also offers a free shuttle to town, which made getting around super convenient. The highlight of our stay was without a doubt Buchanan’s Chophouse. We ended up dining there daily—the food was consistently excellent, the outdoor patio was perfect, and the service was top-notch. Huge thanks to James, the owner, who personally made us feel at home, and TJ, the bartender, who served up amazing drinks and great conversation. This lodge offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and hospitality. We’re already looking forward to coming back this winter to ski and wouldn’t stay anywhere else! "The Lodge was so well thought out as the theme was over the top for the area. The breakfast was amazing with real plates, utensils, coffee cups and glasses. The Wes were cooked to perfection and the bacon was plus along with the potatoes. Don’t get that in a chain at all."
