"I checked in with several pieces of luggage and bags, there was no bell to help. 1 person on staff at desk. Terrible first impression at Marriott and I am a silver awards member. Parked my car far away from hotel entry because no parking and they charge for WiFi which should be free!! Will not stay there again"

"Broken shower head and plugged sink , not having a clean towels (towels with hair) , terrible, even after calling the attention of front desk."

"I stayed overnight at the Sideways Inn and was very pleased with my experience there. The room (I stayed in Room 234 where Miles and Jack stayed) was clean and the property was well maintained. I was given a $12 food/drink voucher for Sideways Lounge which I used for 2 free drinks. The location was great and in walking distance to both AJ Spurs and the Hitching Post II (both featured in the movie Sideways). The staff were adequate though not very friendly and breakfast consisted of coffee and a donut, so nothing special. I stayed at the hotel after visiting numerous filming sites for the movie. Overall I was very pleased with Buellton and the Sideways Inn and would highly recommend the hotel."

"We booked a handicapped room and did not get one upon arrival. Thank goodness my husband showered in the morning prior to staying here, you book through Expedia but the hotel didn’t accommodate "

"Room bar fully stocked. Bathroom nicely decorated, but w/o too much room to put our things... may an extra shelf?! Same with the bedroom. Great views. Very soft bedding. Decoration very cute. We have to move the coffee maker to allow for out things to be closed by like our phone, keys, etc. Maybe a shelf above the TV or even a small-long-thin table right under the TV. Very courteous receptionist when we got there explained everything to us. Nothing about our stay, room, etc. We ate at Norman's too. Delicious food and great presentation. Staff very attentive. The pull looked great, but we did not use it. The only "bad", if you want to call it that, a very short "Ah OK" after we said we want to check out. Nothing else was asked like... how was your stay, room, etc. Overall, very nice, relaxing and cute place. Will be back."
