"What an excellent hotel ! I’ve stayed in some many but this one … was a highlight ! Beautiful , clean convenient location to everything ! Breakfast was great ! And now the Staff .. ! The driving force ! Alessio from the moment we checked in was great with suggestions ,like SIMONE 💪 great .! And then RUGGERO what can I say .. helped with arrangements, travel, tickets , car rentals great fantastici tutti ! The morning dining staff was also SUPERB ! 💪 MATTEO & DAVIDE and also Maria for the day we had her . Our room was always attended to in detail and clean Gracias Veronica ! They all deserve a raise 💶!!! Gregorio so nice and helpful and the gentleman from Bolzaneto I forgot his name unfortunately perhaps Aldo or Arnaldo ( you know who you are ) was helpful with travel suggestions and helped me with numerous family luggage/bags .. They made our stay/vacation memorable and fantastic ! My new home away from home ! A hidden gem ! Needless to say I’ll be back and can’t wait to stay there and enjoy my “new family “ in Genoa at the Astoria ! GRAZIE e TUTTI FANTASTICI !"

"I felt like a princess and my prince. Ivanfrom the bar was so helpful with local information. He also spoke 4 languages. The front desk staff was attentive even when busy they looked up and acknowledged my presence. The room was immaculate. Easy to access with a huge bath. Chandelier in the center. Tea and coffee . Breakfast was wonderful with a great staff. Best stay on our 22 day Italy trip."

"Fine hotel. Enjoyed the views from pool deck. Great location. Rooms are very spartan but the bathrooms are clean and modernized… albeit compact. The balcony’s are very loud because of the busy road and passersby right below. If you are not planning to spend a lot of time in your room, it’s a good hotel option and staff was great."

"Close to the main station, the metro and other public transport, and walkable to the main tourism locations. Lovely well-conserved late 19th century building. I had a spacious high-ceilinged room in traditional style with a mosaic patterned floor. The hotel lift is a wonderful piece of century-old engineering, which works most of the time - and will probably be fine by the time you read this."
