Our family really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. It was perfectly sized for our family and gave us plenty of space to spread out. The pool area was just perfect and where we spent most of our time! The property was clean, generally well-maintained, and we appreciated having a starter set of supplies (paper towels, dish detergent, laundry detergent) available for us. We have family in the area so it was very conveniently located to spend time with them, as well. I was really looking forward to the espresso machine but unfortunately there was just a basic coffee maker. We will definitely book again for future visits!

We loved our stay at Whispering Palms! There were just a couple of minor things that were a little bit of a nuisance but nothing major. A couple of examples are the lighting in the walk in shower bathroom was a little dark and the chairs in the dining area screech on the floor as you move your chair so if there could be felt pads on them that would make a big difference. The pool was great, we spent a good amount of time in there especially at night, very clean, the water temperature was very nice about 80F. The washer and dryer was very convenient especially with how many beach days we did and we washed our beach towels quite a bit. The kitchen area was nice, it had a lot of necessities that anyone would think of to have. We used the black stone grill a few times and it was nice too, clean, easy to use. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space so you don’t feel like you’re walking over each other all of the time which we really liked. Everything was also close by to where we wanted to go. We’ve been in the area 3 times now since we have family nearby and we pretty much knew our way of the land which was also convenient and helpful! Overall very nice place to stay with family and friends, would definitely recommend, Matt was very helpful with any questions we had. The neighborhood is also very quiet all considered since it’s close by to the highway which we also liked. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property. One reason we booked was the advertised hot tub. What was not disclosed on the listing was that guests could not independently operate it and had to contact the host to turn it on. One evening it never heated. After multiple attempts to reach the host, my husband was told it automatically shuts off at 10:30 PM which was the first time this restriction was disclosed. I photographed the property binder before leaving. On arrival we found no disclosure of the 10:30 PM hot-tub shutoff, required host activation, or that the pool/hot tub could not operate simultaneously. Another issue was the advertised private kitchen. The refrigerator and kitchen cabinets had locks on them, making them inaccessible to guests. I have photos of the locks, while the listing photos show the kitchen without them. We also had a confrontation over karaoke around 9 PM, although the house rules stated quiet hours were 10 PM–7 AM. We complied with the request to lower the volume, but the interaction became confrontational and we were threatened with eviction if we wanted to “argue.” We documented these issues and attempted to resolve them, but the host did not authorize a refund. For a $1,700 stay, we expected advertised amenities to be accessible as represented, restrictions to be disclosed before booking, and concerns to be handled professionally. We would not stay here again or book with this particular host again.
