Baron Stephan von Sarter (1833–1902), a broker and banker, planned to live there, but never did. Today the Palace is in the possession of the State Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia. The hotel was idealy situated for our visit to Bad Honnef. There were 3 of us staying in a delux plus room which proved to be ideal and we would definately use the hotel again. The breakfast was very good.

We were offer a very large room, including a full equipped kitchen. Luxurious. Decent breakfast but was very (very) crowded (you may want to arrive early if you can). The WiFi reception was spotty at best in our room. Would often cut-off for a few minutes.

Overall a great stay. Front desk staff was very friendly. Complimentary Coffee and snacks at check In. Wasn’t aware pool had a 6 Euro charge per person. Had a suite and while It was spacious the room was very basic. Excellent breakfast! Only a few minutes walk from restaurants in town.

Was sadly the worst place I stayed. Roaches in the room No AC or fans and was hot (we stayed in August) Only 1 iron in the whole hotel so to iron our clothes were impossible. Pool charge $6.5 also they charge $12 per parking per day.

Modern and clean hotel. Good selection of food for breakfast. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room however there are complimentary hot and cold drinks available near reception. Mini fridge in room came in handy. Room and corridors were so hot as no air con. It really is needed in the summer months.

Please red before booking. We booked 2 rooms in August, hotel doesn’t have air conditioning or fans! Rooms were hot to sleep and if we open the windows many mosquitoes and bugs. Saw roaches in the room and 1 in the bed. I asked for sheets for the bed and never got (bed only had the fitted one and not the extra sheet to cover) We went for a wedding and hotel has only 1 iron, so to iron our clothes was very difficult and almost a joke to believe that they had only 1 available. Only worth part was breakfast. Ps parking is $12 a day and they also charge $6.5 for the pool per person.

Worst hotel I stayed No AC in August or fan. Very hot room. Asked for a sheet instead of a blanket and never got one. Roaches in the room. Complained and they said they didn’t have another room to move me or they couldn’t cancel my reservation. I need an iron and they only have 1 in the whole hotel. They took hours to find it. Really this place need to fix many things. Bathtub is super high also and dangerous. They charge extra for pool and parking. Only good thing was the breakfast.

Das Personal war in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel an sich sieht soweit ganz gut aus (Innenbereich, Essensbereich). Sobald man jedoch die Zimmer betritt, will man schnell wieder heraus. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers an sich ist modern und relativ sauber. Geht man jedoch weiter ins Bad, trifft einen der Schlag. Die Dusche hatte an vielen Stellen Schimmel, die Toilette war von Innen super ekelhaft. Da es keine Abluft im Bad gab, hat sich der ganze Wasserdampf gesammelt, was sehr wahrscheinlich zu der Schimmelbildung führt. Das Frühstück war vollkommen in Ordnung und es gab für jeden Geschmack etwas. Dennoch würden wir nicht wieder kommen.
