"Fantastic hotel, in beautiful location. Great pool. We paid extra for a river view room, but were very disappointed to find a scaffolding tower to the side of our balcony blocking half the view. The room was set back from the front of the hotel and so the remaining view was limited (Room 501). We asked to move, the staff were very accommodating, but it would have to be next day as they were full. When we got back from our day out and went to the new room, we were not impressed. There was no shower screen or shower curtain so, however carefully we showered, it was impossible not to flood the bathroom floor. And the rooms and corridors had been laid with laminate flooring which amplified footsteps and voices, creating unnecessary noise. The staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced and uncertain.
