The place is charming, comfortable, and within walking distance of the Versailles Palace. It is beautiful to go in and out of the Palace and be able to spend as much time as needed in the extraordinary places around the Palace.

This hotel is at a nice and convenient location in the city center, but the hotel room is outdated and the bath water don’t get warm until after more than 10 min of running the faucet

Location, location, location! This functional hotel is 1/2 block from the street car line and 1 block from some of Bordeaux’s best shopping and attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing hotel right in the heart of Bordeaux. Walk to all locations and beautiful area. Room excellent. Charming old fashioned elegance but spotless and clean bathroom. Staff were so attentive and went the extra mile to help us and make us feel welcome. Restaurants they recommended were good.

Excellent location and very friendly staff
We loved the location of the hotel. The building is very old and not remodeled, the room and hallways need an upgrade as they look outdated, but the space was fair and comfortable. The safe is attached to a shelf that easily comes out, and the room’s door is so thin and looks like can be easily broken if pushed, very old school door with heavy key to open it, so an upgrade on the doors would be a good idea! It was very cold and the heater worked wonderfully, they also have double windows in the room so it wasn’t noisy and helped keeping the room warm. Staff is very friendly. We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel, nice options for a quick coffee and croissant around the hotel. But the hotel does offer breakfast, room service and has a minibar with drinks in the room!

disappointment
the hotel is a typical French pension which has received attention from a designer and modern grey/dark colours. Pity more light bulbs werent employed. I couldn't see the door keyhole to open it !! It advertises wifi but in our room was nearly useless. The road outside is noisy on a monday morning with a student establishment across the road. Overall very far from majestic and prices way to high for what it is. No restaurant or bar. Although very central it is an overpriced B&B joint

Weekend in Bordeaux
Location was perfect for a weekend in Bordeaux, very close to restaurants and the main shopping streets/tourist attractions. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The WiFi didn’t work but we didn’t have a need for it so it wasn’t an issue.

Excellent location and service in restored older building. Only issues were technical: poor sound insulation from room opposite ours, 1” raised bathroom floor caused toe jam on entry, and bathtub style shower had slippery bottom and no rail.

One night in Bordeaux
We chose this hotel as it was very central and had its own car parl. A few days before we arrived we were informed that the car park was no longer available and that I would have to use the public car parks. I had hoped to bring along our aged cat but this was not possible if we had to carry luggage, a cat and cat letter tray etc. In the end I used a public car park (28 euros for one night) and, surprise, surprise the car was scratched as is a regular occurence in public car parks. The staff are very professional and the room was nice if rather dated decor. But the lack of car parking was a major disappointment.

I was on the 4th floor and all night long even in the morning I heart Kind of noise. Couldn’t sleep. The you get receptionist was excellente but the manager Less. I wanted to change the Room they gave me because i wanted to have a little bet day light. She ketp reminding me that my réservation was standard and the room is small nothing to do with more light🤔. But the youngest one kept it professionnel, polite and very nice.....

It was clean and basic. Rooms are redone but the hotel doesn’t have any amenities. If you are looking for a clean, good size room then this is a good spot. I am shocked that it’s four stars though considering the lack of amenities.

Location is unbeatable! Walk and tram to everything. The property is a little dated....aka 'Classic', but wide hallways and dark color scheme is warm. Basic room was basic but view of the Grand Theatre was nice. Paid safe Parking available. Bordeaux is Beautiful.....and oh yeah....the Wine!

It is a basic 3* star hotel however they present themselves as 4*. The rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny, no public areas, no facilities. Had it been rated 3* and priced accordingly I would have rated it ok. Location is great
