It is very much a family hotel with the gentle Nonna always about to help if she can. But to the main reason this hotel was chosen was because of Carlo's wonderful cooking. "This is a lovely house in a very quiet little village. It is a little difficult to get to and very remote. There was no option for any kind of food or dining. The only cafe in this tiny town was closed except weekends. We did stay in the off season, so not sure what the situation would be in the summer. The nearest option for a market or dining was a 30 minute drive on very narrow winding roads. We still enjoyed or stay. The views of the local area are lovely. The village sits high up and is surrounded by hills and vineyards. Not all of the views in the photos of the property are from the house. Some are taken from a short walk from the house. It was very quiet. We never saw more than four or five other people in the village when we walked about exploring. We very much enjoyed the stay."
