"We enjoyed an excellent holiday in Bill’s lodge in Portumna. The lodge was spacious and spotlessly. There was plenty of green space to enjoy and for the kids to burn off some energy. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. We used the lodge as base, and did many local activities - such as paintball in Pallas, the forest park in Portumna, Derg Isle kayaking, petting farm, Birr Castle & Playground; further afield we went to baysports in Lough Ree and surfing...

"Great place to spend our five week stay in Ireland! It felt like home for my husband and I along with our six children. The home is cozy and spacious inside and beautifully decorated. Loved seeing the horses pass being exercised along the road. We enjoyed eating at the Thatched cottage often and felt like regulars by the end of our stay. "We had a wonderful stay at Peter's home. We had ten people and the house was more than sufficient to give everyone their own bedroom, bathroom and space. The views out the back decks was breathtaking giving you the real Ireland experience. Much of the area can be walked with no problems. Good food, good pubs lots of touristy things to do. It was a good location for us as many of the towns were easily in driving distance, plus they have excellent taxi , car service. Our host Peter was awesome and...
