Search Bed and Breakfast in Terryglass

"My goal was to visit Castles and see the countryside!We purposely selected this place for the fact it was kinda in the middle of Ireland, from where we would make day trips. It worked wonderfully! Our other purpose was to be away from Dublin and meet what I guessed would be the true Irish. Very Close by was a fantastic Pub, and restaurant. We stayed a week here. Safety was of no concern on this trip. The people were wonderful and the food fantastic. We visited 7 castles while here, and went to the cliffs of Moher. We saved an incredible amount of money doing this ourselves versus going on tour buses. Do be aware back roads can be extremely narrow. I surely brushed the rental car against hedgerows on occasion. Rent a small narrow car for this neck of the woods. A big SUV would have been very difficult to keep on your side of the road, on backroads . Our Host Margaret was wonderfully accommodating. "

"The bedroom exceeded expectations. Very comfy and quiet. Visited the science museum nearby, which was the reason for staying at Burr. The hotel was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately too tired to try the pool."

"Wonderful view if the Lough. Good food and friendly service. The bathroom could do with brighter lighting and although breakfast was lovely (recommend the avocado, beetroot, posched eggs) it was not clear that you had to get your toast from the buffet which is strange seeing as it says on the menu scramble eggs on toast."

"We loved the experience of staying in a genuine castle! It was a beautiful property with trails for walking and wildlife wandering on site with horses! The only thing I’d change were the sheers on the bathroom window (felt a little exposed. The staff were lovely and we would definitely stay again and longer to enjoy the area more! Offaly is beautiful "
