Fonte Bertusi- The Avenue

Fonte Bertusi was a pioneer in the concept of "green" (ecological) holidays in the Val d’Orcia. The business was established in 1990 by the Pisano family and since then they've been offering warm hospitality in a unique environment; at one with nature, history, beauty and art. Life here somehow eludes time. The ancient podere, or farmhouse, was built in the 1700s. Its robust stone structure has been carefully restored so as to preserve the flavor and atmosphere of the past.
The apartment was part of the ancient farmer residence. It is located on the upper level accessed by a 7-step staircase, and has a well equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, a comfortable single sofa bed, and a cozy wood-burning, cast-iron stove. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed. The bathroom has a built-in shower. Just outside the door of the apartment, under a pergola covered with roses, is a private outdoor dining area enclosed by a railing with a gate and furnished with a table and chairs.
