"The cottage was great, all you would need for a good relaxing holiday, we did have a problem with the boiler on arrival but that was quickly sorted out by the agency, in all the cottage was perfect for our needs, the only down side was the fact we had our car keyed outside the cottage, but I suppose that could happen anywhere!"

"An idyllic location and convenient for exploring the local area. Southview is comfortable and has everything you could need in a cottage, so well equipped, clean and tidy. The views from the rear of the cottage are stunning and we particularly enjoyed watching the entertaining sheep and chickens from the lounge. The Bowes museum is literally opposite the cottage and it is a short walk into Barnard Castle which has some lovely places to eat and drink. The owner, Chris, is on hand for any issues as he lives next door. Would definitely recommend for a chilled out and relaxing break."

"Walking distance to the shops. Steep stairs on entry and several changes in floor level within the flat. Difficult for an elderly guest. Very quiet."

"On arrival the radiator wasnt working so the lovely host moved rooms and couldnt do enough to make sure i was ok. Then threw in a couple of free beers. The staff working literally couldnt do enough to help"

"Prooerty is spotlessly clean and well equipped. There is a parking space and the town is a few minutes walk, it's very well located"

"Excellent location with parking permit supplied for nearby park. Attractive decor and scones from nearby cafe a nice touch. Whilst there is a folder with some useful information it wasn't clear how heating control worked thus a more detailed instruction would be good. Also couldn't see instruction booklets left for kitchen appliances which again are often useful for unfamiliar controls."
