"I booked the stay on ORBITZ. I had been flying all day and was exhausted! There was a 50,000 person Volley Ball Tournament in Louisville and EVERY Hotel/Motel was SOLD OUT! When I arrived I was told they did not have a Room for me because ORBITZ over sold the property, That’s called overselling and the the Property in question would, what we call that industry, walk you to another/sister property. The woman working the Desk was clearly overwhelmed and offered NOTHING not even a bottle of water. So determined, mind you the reservation was Paid -In-Full to get this resolved, I call ORBITZ directly and spoke first to Pranav who because it was above his pay grade transfer me to the resolution department for which I then spoke to Lloyd. I explained the situation in full detail and waited while he called the property for which I could hear the Front Desk speaking to him. Fast forward, he would put me on hold while calling every Hotel/Motel in a 25 mile radius to no avail and then repeatedly calling the front Desk. The property called the owner (so I was told) who miraculously found a Room. I arrived at 9:30pm and was given a Room 2hrs later. The lady working that Desk apologized for the error. There was a heavy set gentleman who was of absolutely NO HELP at another gentleman (of whom I believe was of Latin decent) cleaned the Room and made sure I was comfortable, ORBIZ gave me a partial refund for the error but I will be moving on. Very poor communication amongst term all."

"The ac in the room didn’t work, we checked in around 11:15 at night and left abt 3:00 am!! Won’t go back"

"The Kuerig did not work. No paper or pen to leave the housekeeper a note and no free breakfast. Dry cereal, bread, roll…$16. Other than that, quiet, comfortable bed but much too soft pillows."

"One of the bathroom lights was not working at all, there was a roach crawling in the bathroom wall, the room smelled like cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking room, the comforter looked stained, and the breakfast was cold. I've stayed at a Quality Inn before, so this was disappointing."

"@12.05 am on 4-29-2026 at the middle of the nite, fire alarm announcement , everyone got up a rushed to the stairs down, after 15 second the cancelled, my suggestion is if property is not confirmed the fire why should they announce in the middle of the nite, there are all ages of customers staying at the property . they all start coming down through the stairs from level 14th downward. it was very inconvenient for the guests."

"We were in a room that was on top of the Interstate.. We asked to switch to a parking lot room. We were not allowed to move unless we paid $40-$60 more. The Hotel wasn’t even 1/3 full. The Queen size mattress was sunk in the middle.. our sleep was poor for the 2 night stay. The pool was available but freezing cold. The breakfast was good."

"I have always respected the dignity and beauty of historic hotels, and finally got the chance to experience the Brown. The architecture of the public areas is magnificent. It is clean and well maintained. The food was extraordinary. Unfortunately, check-in is a sad introduction to the historic experience. The staff was polite and responsive, but the logistics were deplorable. Traffic jams were common at the front door, and anyone not using the valet was relegated to an alley side-entrance to the parking garage. Once parked, hotel guests are expected to cross the ally in an 2nd floor causeway to check-in at the desk. Then the guests are expected to take the elevator back down to the 1st floor to get a transfer cart, then go back up the elevator to the second floor, and back across the causeway to the parking garage, then back to the 2nd floor main lobby, to take the elevator to your room, then back down to the 1st floor to return the luggage cart, then back up the elevator to one's room. A historic venue of this caliber is damaged by the sad process of simply getting checked in. I've never seen such a distorted process."
